@seattledot The 2nd Av bike lane is how my family gets to the Seattle Childrens Theater and the rest of @seattlecenter and lower QA attractions. It’s blocked, with no warning. Are we expected to bike the wrong way in the 2nd general traffic?

I mean you could extend the 4th Av bike lane beyond its sudden Vine St end. Or negotiate removal of the vegetation at the SE corner of 2nd and Denny. You’ve got options! There are ways to create a safe route! @typewriteralley @QAGreenways

@SoundTransit here is some user experience data aka “why aren’t people using what we built for them.” Given the growing popularity of bikes that help older, younger, and errand running people, it’s likely this will be more common. Here’s Beacon Hill

And I don’t want to block the fire command center, so I don’t want lock at the end of the rack where I’d be sticking into the doorway - that seems like a jerk move. So I’m stuck. @BikeSecurityAdv

Apparently these 4 parking spaces that make biking west on Union dangerous aren’t actually so important. 🙄

And yes, I am a cheese ball. Working for the EPA under the previous admin was demoralizing and dua lipa helped me pedal through the pain. So I kinda owe her 😉
