I don't hate cyclists — I am one. The name throws people. This isn't hatred of cyclists, it's a record of the hatred aimed at them. The 'pay road tax', the close passes, the 'get on the path'. Kept by someone who actually rides.

Cyclist traveling alone through Africa records moment of tension as she is chased by man with machete on road in Kenya. Should we call it the wild wild east or the deserted wilderness

Absolute no idea, but must have been well over 1000 on assorted wheels cycling west along Clapham Common Southside. Didn’t move for 10 mins as they basically used whatever bit of tarmac they fancied and I believe it’s frowned upon to ram them.
Cycling in London is divided more than ever thanks to certain groups.
Cyclist turning on cyclist had never been seen before.
Yet cycling groups have divided people who cycle. From harming them with increased congestion or discriminating against the poor or disabled … going around bullying people giving normal cyclists a bad name.
"£110m in e-bike injury payouts," said the BBC. But as MP Fabian Hamilton pointed out, not a penny of it can involve a legal e-bike - that fund only covers uninsured motor vehicles, and a legal e-bike isn't one.

What councils should be doing is reassigning some car parking spaces to hire bikes.
Half a mile up the road … Councils must fine these companies £1000 a bike!! ENOUGH

Omg that shit drives me fucking nuts!!
We have a highway ground through my town and there is always some cyclist hogging the right lane when there is a sidewalk just on the other side of the curb!!
Like, move bitch! I have deliveries to make and I want to go home!! 😩

Whatever nonsense gets thrown at you during the week - none of it beats the ride home on a Friday. No queue, no fare, no fuming in traffic - just you, cycling on. That's why we put up with the rest of it. Enjoy!
Anti-cyclist bingo, since we all hear the same handful of lines on a loop. Tick one off every time you hear it. Full house by next Friday - although you'll probably manage it by Tuesday :D
"It's murder to keep that speed" - an actual driver, on being asked to do 20 through a town. Wales did it: 630 fewer casualties in year one, 100 fewer people killed or seriously injured, two minutes added to a journey

With the heroes of the @RNLI under attack again, I’m reminded of this passage from Bill Bryson.

ALT I had never really stopped to consider what an extraordinary thing the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is. Think about it. A troubled ship calls for help, and eight people - teachers, plumbers, the guy who runs the pub - drop everything and put to sea, whatever the weather, asking no questions, imperilling their own lives, to try to help strangers. Is there anything more brave and noble than that? The RNLI - I looked this up later - is an organization run by volunteers, supported entirely by public donations. It maintains 233 stations around the coast of Britain and averages twenty-two call-outs per day. It saves 350 lives a year on average.
Cambridge's "first cyclist speed limit": one shared path by the busway, where buses killed three pedestrians, and the same package slowed the buses too. It's not coming to bike lanes. The context makes it a very different story.

When should road users stop at zebra crossings?
3 motorists failed to slow down or even stop for this zebra crossing which had a child waiting on it to cross.
The one cyclist did slow and stop.
Not cycling related exactly but this guy... 😄

Who are the most discriminated people in the world?
Hint, it's not any race or nation!
It is any motorized vehicle operator.
Why?
They are the only ones that have identifying marks that they must bear & only ones punished in the transportation system,

The simple fact is that cyclists do not belong on our roads in this day and age.
They are, without doubt, the most reckless road users of all.
Our roads would be much safer if we just imposed an outright ban on all cyclists.

Your thoughts? Should this *professional* driver be banned? @bigbustours driver in #London Should a professional driver react like this? Get this angry, this quickly? @MayorofLondon @willnorman @london_cycling @roadcc
