Despite the many exciting adaptational changes, it seems like Villeneuve is keeping Messiah's brilliant ending largely the same. Chalamet portraying the agony of Paul's loss will be a scene for the ages.
some people call themselves book purists and yet can’t see the obvious hints to the end being the same as the book like give me patience
No burst of the future came into this new consciousness. He felt himself rejecting the future- any future. “Goodbye, my sihaya,” he whispered.

This is what i think too. Path will change but the end is the same. They did the same with Dune Part 2. The first baby Leto II 's death was the trigger in the book but they changed it to the sietch bombing. Path is different but the end is the same.

And then Paul asking Duncan to look after his kids and leaving to the desert. It's literally word for word from the book. Need everyone to stop the nonsense!!
this moment when scytale tells paul to make chani a ghola and for him to hand over power is directly from the book and yet some people think the end is changed … just the way it happens changes not the end.
