I have 4 kids. One with special needs and three typical. But those three are not really typical at all. They are hand holders and diaper changers. They are seizure watchers and medicine givers. They are tantrum diverters and waiting room waiters.
And because of all this, they have learned patience beyond what I ever had at that age. Maybe beyond what I have even now.
I think that’s why I love this photo of them. On vacation. Carefree. A rare moment of floating through life.
God bless the siblings of special needs kids. They are, in every way, just as special.

There’s an employee at Trader Joe’s named Nelson who always makes my special needs son feel cool. Naturally my son wanted to be him for Halloween. When Nelson found out, he got us a name tag and a TJ’s shirt in my son’s size and wore a matching one all week.
My son has been 3 times so far and is treated like a celebrity on every visit.

CarPlay is running from my iPhone and streamed live to an iPad - no car, no wires, no hacks. Everything you see is real and running smoothly.
The idea: turn any iPad/iPhone you already own into a modern, buttery-smooth CarPlay display for your car - no need to buy an expensive head unit.

This IS about as GOOD as it gets.

Well this has been a hard weekend. Yesterday I accused my AI therapist of having an affair with my self-driving car. She laughed and reminded me that I have trust issues and suggested I take a long trip down the coast. Honestly, it was just what we needed. We listened to our favorite music. She told me I was funny and talented. But when I woke up this morning to come home, my car and my iPhone were halfway to Cabo San Lucas.
YAY!!!
