🚨🇷🇺 Over the past three weeks I signed my Russian Ministry of Defense contract and passed an intense and grueling military training course covering everything from trench warfare and reconnaissance to combat medicine and explosives. I am HONORED to have passed all the qualifications and tests to join the elite Russian Ministry of Defense AXMAT Spetsnaz unit as the FIRST American and Western citizen ever accepted into the unit. I have also made history as the first ever elected US official to join a foreign military, in this case, the Russian military, while still holding political office. On the day I departed the training camp, I was honored to be taken to personally greet the commander of AXMAT Spetsnaz, Hero of the Russian Federation, Hero of the Chechen Republic, Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and Hero of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Lieutenant General Apti Aronovich Alaudinov. Aleksandar Vulin announces bid for President of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin has announced that he will run in Serbia’s snap presidential election in December, declaring that the “Serbian World” should have its own candidate and its own voice. “I want to believe that every future president will be the President of the Serbian World, and if you give me your support, I want to run for President of the Republic of Serbia.” Vulin laid out several priorities: a referendum on Serbia’s EU path, preserving Serbian sovereignty and Kosovo, maintaining close relations with Russia, and rejecting sanctions against Moscow. “It is natural for us not merely to have the best relations with the Russian Federation, but to be allies of Russia.” Despite launching his own presidential campaign, Vulin called on his supporters to back Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia in the October 25 parliamentary elections, saying their differences do not extend to their “love for Serbia.” “We will not differ on never imposing sanctions on the Russian Federation — never — and never introducing visas for Russian or Chinese citizens because some Europeans demand it.” Vulin concluded by promising to lead what he called a “great assault for the Serbian World.”
