When Elon Musk was starting SpaceX, he flew to Russia three times. He was immediately taken under the wing of Dana “Putin Pays” Rohrabacher who pushed through legislation to allow privatized space exploration. Elon Musk has been a Russian asset for 25 years.
🤔 Putin on Elon Musk: Elon Musk is an industrial genius. He has more than 5,000 spacecraft in orbit. We are in close contact with our American partners, including Mr. Musk. It is important to maintain discipline and order in orbit. Both we and our American partners value this, and despite political issues, we work closely together in this field. Elon Musk is a genius, a truly brilliant man.

I was in the room multiple times when President Biden met with and prayed with Catholic bishops. They didn’t run cameras, because he and those present didn’t want to politicize prayer and encounter for electoral gain. When Biden lost his second child in May 2015, he prayed nearly all night in front of the Blessed Sacrament. It’s the same thing he did in 1972 when he lost his daughter and late wife to a drunk driver. He went to Mass every single Sunday as president, oftentimes next to the parish cemetery of his children, and relied on his faith to guide him through hell and high water. You might not like his politics, but I encourage you to act with Christian charity towards the sincerity of his faith and take the view of the late Pope Francis, who called him a “good Catholic” in 2021.
If a Democratic president asked bishops to pray over him, they should say yes. This unfortunately must remain a hypothetical since our (allegedly) Catholic former president never met with the bishops at all!

So America helped Russia murder Ukrainians, including baby Anhelina in a stroller, and after CBS reported it the page is down? I am enraged that America is helping Russia in its genocide

"Please use the religious text of my preference to try to make an argument against my religious fanaticism", is quite the take. Ultimately, the US is a secular nation where people can practice any religion, or none, and no religious text or deities are relevant to others.

No surprise, Russia has been helping Iran and the Houthis destroy the Saudi oil industry. All those billions in bribes the Saudis paid to Kushner/Trump family, and White House ends up siding with Russia to bring oil prices to $300/barrel. Meanwhile, Trump attacks Ukraine for hitting Russian refineries.

You're telling me the President owns up to $23.1 million of Chevron AND up to $18.4 million of Exxon AND gas is up 40% in a year AND his trades show up weeks after he makes them AND the House voted to ban itself from trading stocks, but the bill doesn't cover him And we're the ones who get banned for posting it.

Just so we're all clear on this, the Trump administration is harboring a fugitive illegal immigrant after they tried to steal an election with help from his billionaire donors. Again.

It’s unfortunate that Zelenskyy and Ukraine has to simultaneously fight a two-front war against Russian barbarians and the greedy gangsters running the US government.

🇧🇷🤝🇺🇸 With no direct evidence (pictures) of the exact aircraft used to smuggle Flávio Bolsonaro into the United States, I can't be completely sure, but from the CIA's usual methods they would have used a chartered bizjet on the LADD list and made minimal refuelling stops. 🧵

Him and his friends bought the .si domains a few months ago. Now they’re trying to cash in. Hope this helps.
I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

Simón Levy, an Israeli asset tasked with undermining Mexico's democracy and ally of Trump, says Flávio Bolsonaro reached the US in an operation coordinated by Marco Rubio. Bolsonaro is under investigation in Brazil for money laundering and other crimes, was barred from leaving the country.
Flávio Bolsonaro flees from Brazil for the USA after missing a passport deadline in a money-laundering case. Brazil’s Supreme Court separately ordered a probe into foreign campaign financing and support, paid posts and hidden mineral interests.

A must read thread.
Back in late November of 2017, covering the State Dept during Trump 1, I got a call from one of the skeeziest, shadiest characters close to Trump. Even then, it was stunning that the more questionable and corrupt the character, the closer they were to the center. (cont'd)

Witkoff tried to convince Budanov of how rich he could be if he sold out his country by allowing Russian pipelines to again flow through Ukraine. Budanov ended the meeting.
Content of Tense Conversation Between Budanov and Trump's Team Revealed Negotiations between the Ukrainian delegation and Donald Trump's special envoys in Miami, as reported by Le Monde, escalated into a conflict. According to the publication, during a three-hour meeting at the Shell Bay golf club, Steve Witkoff "with irritation" demanded that Kyrylo Budanov, head of Zelenskyy's office, cease strikes on Russian oil refineries. Budanov, per Le Monde's information, "barely contained his anger" and felt that he was being "treated like a child, trying to teach him how to make money." The Americans presented an ambitious plan for postwar "regional prosperity," which envisioned resuming the transit of Russian oil and gas to Europe through Ukraine, with dividends paid to Kyiv. Budanov was outraged that such a deal would tie Ukraine to Moscow, after which the negotiations broke off. When the meeting resumed, the Americans proposed accepting a deal for supplies of Russian diesel to the United States. The publication's sources noted that they had never seen Ukrainians "so upset and alarmed." Zelenskyy's entourage described the situation as "hopeless," since Trump's envoys "think only about business." 📸: Press service of the President of Ukraine

Trump always demands a quid pro quo from everyone. So even though the United States isn’t getting anything from all these deals with Russia, we know that he is.
Another stunning report, from @antontroian, on another concession Trump wants to make toward Russia. What we have zero news of is what Russia plans to concede in exchange for this—other than money for Trump family allies. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/us/po…

I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing. Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed. What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community. At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades. That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him. My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

If you go deep enough, you can see the extent that this has been happening for a while. We just sorta let foreign companies kill industries at a national level sometimes despite every red flag. @voteLabonte they should ask the folks in Espo if this gives some deja vu.

If, for the sake of argument, you were a member of the president's family or one of their Middle Eastern business partners looking for easy money from Russian "investors," this is the Russian entity you'd need to exempt from US sanctions.

So, Putin is offering the Trump family Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (largest in Europe) and to jointly operate an LNG terminal in Alaska.
Replying to @ralexdc
BONUS: The most geopolitically sensitive proposals include a potential American role in Alaska LNG infrastructure involving Russian assets and a third-party management arrangement for Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, with electricity shared between Ukraine and Russia, according to the officials. The proposals are not necessarily final agreements.
