Since I've gained about 1k followers in the past 2 days, I figure I should properly introduce myself.
Howdy! I'm Jackson. I'm an 18 YO storm chaser from the DFW metro. I've been storm chasing for 7 years with help of my parents.
I'm also interested in history, geography, cars, video games, and college sports (Hook em').
I'm a cancer survivor and suffer from a PI, so medical issues may be discussed on here.
I'm planning on studying meteorology at the University of South Alabama come this fall, and I'm hoping to eventually get a masters degree at OU.
My notable achievements are:
-Driving in a roundabout for an hour
-Listening to a funny Deltarune song
-Getting stuck in the mud
-Being deemed "Texan final boss"
I do everything in honor of the friends who I've lost on the path to be where I am today (JD, NN, DB, GS, HLM, DM, JH, CH).
So y'all came here for the funny moments, but y'all should stay for the beauty of nature! Enjoy my stupidity!

Dr. Ted Fujita was born in the Fukuoka Prefecture of Japan.
Fujita devoted his life to the study of tornadoes, supercells, and downbursts. He is most notably the creator of the scale utilized by the National Weather Service to rate tornadoes.

What’s going on with these western offices? I understand they don’t get severe weather often, but I feel like we need some sort of standardized training nationally at this point. I’d think if you have a juiced environment, you’d spare someone to monitor radar like a hawk, no? What else is there to do in the downtime?

Looks like we may have had an unwarned tornado east of San Mateo, NM, where a strong couplet occurs and then a substantial CC drop on the next scan. Not much, if any, notable population near this area of rotation. #nmwx

We’re really in a part of the US that looks completely different from anything else we’ve seen so far🇺🇸

Wow the Palo Duro Canyon here in Texas. The second largest canyon in the US after the Grand Canyon. What a view!

I don’t know what the state record hail size is in Arizona but this is nearly an inch wide than my iPhone. West side of Sedona.
Replying to @ieathugeballs
Could be worse
Could be Lubbock
Texas- best flag
Green- great flags
Yellow- almost perfect, just remove the text
Orange- the boring belt
Purple- too complex/too much text
Red- I have beef with you
Maryland- I'm conflicted

Confirmed significant tree damage from the likely tornado that struck near Prescott, Arizona earlier this afternoon. This tornado had a tornadic debris signature on radar. #AZwx
