Brooklyn’s a great place to bike, but I have problems with how @peopleforbikes made this rating. For example, Adams has only built 88 mi of #bikenyc lanes across city, less than half of what’s required in streets plan, and in BK many still don’t connect brooklynpaper.com/brooklyn-b…
For the first time, Brooklyn, New York, tops our rankings as the best large U.S. city for bicycling! Brooklyn’s growing bike network of protected bike lanes, greenways, and bike boulevards make daily destinations accessible for all. Read more now at bit.ly/3IqZeLe

Some bad reporting here IMO: * NYC residents, the vast majority of readers, are more concerned about NYC’s population, not metro area’s, yet that info’s nowhere in article. * Bronx and Manhattan precede Queens alphabetically, not in population Do better @Gothamist @giuliaheyward

“Closing any store is never easy,” Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Macy’s, said. Gothamist could have added that the man making that statement has a total yearly compensation of $5.78 million, so it's not too difficult for him, either. @_charleslane
Macy's Brooklyn store, once an iconic Abraham & Straus, is closing buff.ly/4ja4xNc

Hey @NYCTBus: how is it possible you can’t maintain bus service on 7th Ave #parkslope? There’s supposed to be a B67 or B69 *every 15 minutes*, not whenever as this latest time frame shows. Why can’t this be fixed? And how much longer till you redesign the Bklyn bus network?

I think my move away from broadcast/cable television has officially begun, with NYC’s @pbs station @ThirteenWNET showing “The Brady Bunch Movie” tonight.

... and — along with fellow NYS governors for the past five decades — ignoring the needs of most NYers and NYC transit. You have the job now, @GovKathyHochul, and the responsibility of properly funding @MTA and ensuring it stays healthy and can grow as it should — do it already
