Ref. ACB PS Case No. 30/2023 registered in con with misappropriation of funds of Assam Fisheries Dev. Corporation Ltd. One key accused of the case namely Padma Kanta Hazarika, the then Project Director of the AFDCL has been arrested in Puri, Odisha by @DIR_VAC_ASSAM yesterday.
He was produced before the Court in Puri last night by the team of @DIR_VAC_ASSAM and the Court granted 4 days transit remand for bringing the accused person to Guwahati.

@DIR_VAC_ASSAM conducted search Ops in the early morning today (26/05/26) at multiple locations in Guwahati, Belsor(Nalbari), Gauripur (Dhubri) and Raha(Nagaon) in con with ACB PS Case No. 30/2023 relating to misappropriation of Govt funds of Assam Fishery Dev. Corporation Ltd.
The following officers have been apprehended:
1. Anuradha Adhikary Sarma,, ACS, the then MD,
2. Jyotish Saikia, the then Executive Engineer,
3. Birinchi Adhikary, the then Asstt. Executive Engineer,
4. Jyoti Prasad Saikia, the then Asst Executive Engineer,
5. Saburuddin Ahmed, the then Asstt. Engineer,
6. Bhagirath Das, the then Project Manager, AFDC Ltd. and
7. Rabindra Narayan Deka, the then Asstt. Technical Officer.
Necessary follow-up actions are continuing.

Immediately after apprehension of Lachit Kumar Das, ACS, Adll.DLR yesterday, his residence at Beltola is searched and Cash Rs.48,38,150/- has been recovered. FD of 86 Lakhs & some investment documents are also seized.
