I didn’t take my education seriously until I went to college to study electrical engineering. I was age 17 in 1997 when I did that. I’ve done many courses. Some people have no education. I’m educated.

For my lovely new certificate. I just need to visit the library and print my CV in colour. I’m using this one exclusively for my certificates of education. I keep paperwork and other important documents in my other one :)

I’ve been dreaming about doing this again. It’s expired now but here’s my card from when I worked as an electrical engineer installing permanent traffic control equipment. I still remember everything :)

Every illegal track I’ve ever supported I have made the effort to buy a legal copy of on CD, vinyl or digital format. I have no guilty conscience.

I don’t miss burning my music to disc and writing track lists. I’m prepared to work as a digital DJ. I do miss going to the record shop every week to buy CDs and vinyl but times have changed. These days I own 2 top-of-the-range USB DJ flash drives with a good core of legal music. The file sharing era ended for me in 2009 just before I started my label in 2010. I’ve not downloaded anything illegal since I started my label and the music the burglars stole belongs to me.

There is nothing that I need equipment wise. I have everything I need to do what I need to do. 90% of my money is going towards paying what I borrowed to buy my equipment. The investments were good ones and I’m especially pleased I managed to utilise all of my equipment to earn my degree. Top of the range media players are a luxury not an essential. I’ve proven in my research that there is room for mid-range and legacy/vintage equipment in the music industry. I love my CDJ-400s and my DJM-700 and they are some of the best investments I’ve ever made. I also still own a fully functioning Denon DN2600-F and a professional DJ CD collection. I struggled to make the transition from analog to digital media after spending most of my career as an analog CD and vinyl DJ. I went to a Monkey Beats Event in 2009 and that’s when the Traktor and digital music era started for me. I’m a Traktor user and use my CDJ-400s as MIDI controllers. I used to use my Traktor S4ii with my CD players. The problem with that was there was nowhere to plug in my turntables :)

It’s turned into a day in bed. I’m relaxing before the football. Up the Villa Thor with waggly tails 💜🐕💙

DJ’ing to me is like playing chess. I play better when I’m feeling good, concentrating, and focused on my job. Hopefully I’ll be well enough to return to professional DJ’ing sometime next year. I’m thinking about maybe doing my master’s degree alongside relaunching my record label and brand with the help of Experian. I know what to expect and that’s 20,000 words worth of assignments and more music from me and the relaunch means it’ll be time to go to work. I’ll be ready when I’m ready. I’m not doing my master’s until I’m fully recovered and can give it my best shot. I was ill doing my bachelor’s. I set a target of third-degree honours and hit my target. You’ll never know how difficult that was to achieve while suffering so badly. I had two operations with one of them in both eyes leaving me blind for 3 months during Level 5 and suffered long Covid which took me out of the game for 6 months during Level 6. During Level 4 I had my appendix removed. Throughout I suffered from psychosis, depression and anxiety. I feel like I’ve just returned home from a war zone after fighting illness.

My doctor’s orders are to take my medication and relax. I’ve been relaxing for over a decade now.

In indication of how severe my anxiety is. I installed a pull switch and had an anxiety attack. Not good. At least I know what’s wrong with me. I thought I had Parkinson’s or something. It’s just anxiety.

SoundCloud removing my work because it’s copyrighted to my company. Thanks SoundCloud

I dreamed about wiring up a controller at the Esso garage and Stuart Ramsell asked me if I want to come back.

I don’t like being ill. If I could work I’d build my credit score to where it needs to be in a few months. My psychiatrist has assured me it takes a long time but I will recover from my mental health problems. I can’t even set up my roadshow without suffering an anxiety attack. My last event was a nightmare suffering with severe anxiety rendering me unable to think straight or compose myself on stage. You can imagine how it went. I used to love going to work and never missed a day.

I dreamed I tried to start work wiring up a junction and had an anxiety attack with that violent shaking and Stuart Ramsell apologised to me and said you are ill.

A busy day. My bills are paid for another month. Come March next year I’ll be in a really good financial position. I will have paid my loan and other money I’ve borrowed to buy my studio equipment. It hasn’t left much money for myself in the short term but I’m not wasting it at the pub. I’m not bothered because I own a studio and have invested my money well. I’ll never get bored at home with all my stuff. I could stay at home all of the time and be happy. Maybe a free studio session tomorrow. Now I sleep.💙😊

I thought I’d concentrate and take my time and I beat it. It’s always good to beat the computer :)
