👉 The Kingdom of DK, including Greenland & the Faroe Islands, is part of @NATO & covered by article 5. NATO has increased its focus on the Arctic and High North, launching Arctic Sentry in February of this year to further strengthen NATO’s presence in the Arctic & High North.

Good to connect with Danish FM @larsloekke. Our countries are close friends who naturally find each other in the EU and NATO.
We spoke about European solidarity, Arctic security and competitiveness, among other things.
Great to strengthen a partnership that already runs deep.

Lunch with @MinPres Mark Rutte closes the Belgian presidency of the EU, @BEinNL and @BEHagueIntOrg, in the Netherlands. Ambassador van Calster very befittingly sends the PM on his way to Brussels and the new job as SG of @NATO with some tasty Belgian chocolates.
Today we are celebrating 125 years of the @PCA_CPA #PermanentCourtofArbitration. It was quite an accomplishment that the PCA was established in 1899 to peacefully solve conflicts between nations. The court is as active as ever playing an important part in world #peace & #justice
