In 2023, a team headed to the NFC Championship Game didn't chase a deadline move, and that was a missed opportunity. In 2024, the 15-2 team traded for Za'Darius Smith, but injuries made it impossible to get over the hump: no Hutchinson, no McNeill by season's end, no Carlton Davis, and Anzalone only back for the second-to-last game. This year the roster is healthy and the market is set, so there's no excuse to sit out. Link to video; youtu.be/we-NZqQLAFY?is=5apN… #OnePride

If I’m the Lions, and Brad Holmes I’m calling to inquire on the price of CB Charvarious Ward and LB Akeem Davis Gaither, that would be a massive move for the defense. #OnePride

Good to hear. I talked about this yesterday on @DLNPodcast. Was very interested for Sam’s next public comments. Anything even close to this is more than enough to put the PMT comments under the rug. He’s been a model citizen here & incredible player.
#Lions TE Sam LaPorta on his recent comments on the "Pardon My Take" podcast: "I feel bad if there was any sort of distraction to the team...my intentions are to play for this team."

When appearing on the "Pardon My Take" podcast. LaPorta vented about the frustration of putting his body on the line every week and not feeling financially supported for it. "I think the combination of getting your heartstrings twisted as well as the violent sport we play-it sucks," LaPorta said. "It's disappointing that you go out there every week and you bear the risk of getting hurt. Like last year, whatever it was, Week 9, Week 10, I break my fucking back for this team. And then I'm going out there this year, and I'm ballin', and maybe they're just not showing the love. So I'm going to continue to do my thing and ball out, and in three months if I don't get to wear the Honolulu Blue and play for the Lions anymore, it's going to be all good. I'll go get paid somewhere else. So, whatever," LaPorta said.

The offense is rolling, Brian Branch is back, and Kerby Joseph could return this season. Right now the defense is the only thing holding Detroit back. Chapp makes the case for bringing Amik Robertson back from Washington. Robertson already knows Kelvin Sheppard's system, he's playing some of the best football of his career, and the price could be about a fourth-round pick. Would you make that trade?
