Thank you, @DrTedros for visiting us and for these kind words. Every newborn deserves the best possible start, and we are proud to work alongside @WHO @WHO_Tanzania so more mothers and babies in Tanzania survive and thrive. Ahsante sana!
A child’s first days of life can be the most fragile.
It was inspiring to learn more about @DorisMollel Foundation’s work to give newborns in #Tanzania the best possible start in life, while supporting the health and well-being of mothers.
@WHO is committed to working with partners to strengthen newborn care and help more mothers and babies survive and thrive. #HealthForAll

Yesterday, the Doris Mollel Foundation was honoured to welcome @DrTedros, Director General of @WHO, to our offices in Dar es Salaam. He was accompanied by WHO Representative to Tanzania @WHO_Tanzania Dr. @AlexGasasira
It builds on a relationship that began in Geneva in 2024 and has grown around advocacy, evidence and stronger models of newborn care, including World Prematurity Day taking its place on WHO's global health calendar.
For DMF, the visit marks both the progress made and the important work still ahead.
Asante sana @DrTedros, Dr. Gasasira and the entire @WHO @WHO_Tanzania team for your continued partnership.
Before a girl can heal, she needs somewhere safe to go. That's the starting point of one of our core AGYW interventions: safe house support.
Big news. The Doris Mollel Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with @WHO to advance the health and survival of small and sick newborns in Africa and globally.

This partnership reflects a growing recognition that locally led, community-driven approaches shape better health outcomes. Tanzania has answers to offer.
Today at the #HRHConference2026, our ED @MollelDoris joined the fireside on Women at the Forefront of Health Systems Transformation, hosted by @MkapaFoundation
The conversation tackled a question so many young women in health carry 👇🏾
“Where does leadership come from when you lack the “right” title or conventional background?”
She spoke on building influence from outside formal structures, leading as an advocate rather than an official, and the resilience the journey demands.
She also addressed the young women in the room directly, on what it takes to lead, create change, and claim their place in health systems transformation.
Ahsante sana @MkapaFoundation
