A student painting a mural dropped her phone into the bottomless pit behind my classroom’s HVAC unit. Our maintenance staff went above and beyond to retrieve it, with good humor and smiles along the way. Thankful for them today!

Teaching literature to teenagers has brought me much joy over the last 14 years. It has also brought me the ability to absolutely crush essential assessments, none as important as this one, a “Jay-Z Line or Great Gatsby Quote” brainteaser. 💯💁🏼♀️💯💁🏼♀️💯
