When I realised Jack was down and medical personnel rushed onto the field, I immediately became concerned. Watching him receive medical attention was heartbreaking. I kept looking over, hoping he would be okay. As a football player, you understand that tackling and physical contact are part of the game. But you never want to be involved in a play that leaves another player in such a frightening situation. Jack was simply doing his job, competing for his team and trying to make a play. I respect that tremendously. He’s a competitor, a talented young player and someone who deserves to enjoy a long and successful career. I want his family, teammates and everyone supporting him to know that my thoughts are with them. I’ve replayed that moment in my head, and honestly, I haven’t felt myself since it happened.
