If a company did this nationwide:
- 500 of these kiosks would save about $100–150 million a year in gross labor avoided
- 1,000 of these kiosks would save about $200–300 million a year gross

The regional election result in Germany yesterday sent shockwaves through Germany, the EU and Europe. The Afd absolutely trounced all their rivals. They got 44.2% of the vote whilst their nearest rivals got 18%. Yet getting 2.5x the 2nd place party was not enough to secure them the majority to govern that they needed. A ragtag coalition of all the other parties who failed abysmally has joined together to stop it. That’s proportional representation for you…but is it democracy? Do we want that in the uk. Back room deals between parties that hate each other just to stop someone else who legitimately won?
And something else interesting happened. The Afd were the ONLY party who got more of their votes at the ballot box than in postal votes. For every other party the bulk of their votes were postal. What does that tell you about the system and about the validity of who “allegedly” voted? #germany #german
