I am honoured to be named a finalist in the (Professional) Service Industry category at the @AllicaBank @EntrepreneursGB Awards for 2025.
These are known as the “Grammys of Entrepreneurship”,
Winners are announced on 17 November so fingers crossed.

On the 80th anniversary of VE Day, DTIG remembers those who gave their lives and those who came home, and those who lived through the years of war, so that we can live in freedom. One grandfather was a volunteer fire fighter in Birmingham, the other served in the RAF.
Looking forward to this event and the Awards lunch next week - not to mention a couple of nights in a hotel 😉 It will be good to meet some folks in person.

Joined the Fylde @Pinklinkladies meeting this morning and met some lovely ladies new to the network group - great businesses and charities.
The presentation was from Sarah Clarke-Lees who owns and runs The Alternative Studio HQ in Blackpool. Sounds a fab space.

With many small biz failing to last 5 years, I'm proud that we have got to 6yrs and been in profit each year. All largely by referrals, reputation and repeat business.

I see the PSNI appeal/representations to the ICO of the proposed fine of £750k for the data breach has failed.
It's an expensive budget hit to a crucial public sector service. Reminds us to check before disclosing information.

How was your week last week? Mine-very busy.
3 days out at client sites (I know, I left my virtual world);
a #SIRO Refresher Course for @Leadershiptd; client meetings; #networking with Blackpool @Pinklinkladies. And that was just the days.
Evenings were #learning & meeting.

At @DTInfoGov we are supporting #Armedforcesday. We are an Armed Forces Covenant Signatory and hold the Bronze Defence Recognition Scheme certificate.
