Booker Prize longlisted author Colin Barrett @ColinBarrett82 has been announced as the Arts Council @artscouncil_ie English-language Writer in Residence at DCU.
The position, jointly funded by the Arts Council and DCU, will begin in January 2026.

AFAIK the land was owned and farmed by Cistercians of St Mary's Abbey (if I'm not mixing up my monastic houses!). After dissolution it became part of the City Estate, later leased by Butterlys of Home Farm House (later Antrim Arms) on Drumcondra Road, recently replaced by Lidl

Prof Daire Keogh highlights the artwork in Woodlock Hall which commemorates the 1916 leaders. The portraits, by renowned artist Mick O’Dea, were created in 2016 as part of an exhibition entitled ‘The Foggy Dew’ to mark the destruction of the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) in 1916.
