Zork I, II and III have been released under the MIT license. You can find it on github. I loved these adventure games so much. It's why I was excited to work on Warcraft Adventures...until I saw the code.

Tomorrow, one of comics' most underrated fantasy epics returns. After years away, Death Vigil rides again. Created, written, and illustrated by Stjepan Šejić, Death Vigil is the kind of comic that only comes along when a singular creator is given complete freedom. Equal parts supernatural horror, epic fantasy, dark humor, and deeply human drama, it follows an ancient order of guardians standing between humanity and eldritch annihilation. Death isn't the end—it's just the beginning of your next assignment. Few creators have left a mark on modern comics quite like Šejić. His breathtaking painted artwork and emotionally rich storytelling have earned him fans around the world through Sunstone, Harleen, Fine Print, Aphrodite IX, and now the long-awaited return of one of his most ambitious original creations. What makes Death Vigil special isn't just the monsters, the mythology, or the spectacular action—it's the heart. Šejić fills every page with characters who feel real, flawed, funny, broken, and unforgettable. The world is vast, the stakes are cosmic, but the story never loses sight of the people fighting to protect it. The new issue opens after the events of the original series, reintroducing readers to Bernadette and the Vigil while setting the stage for an even greater conflict. Whether you've been waiting years for this moment or you're discovering the series for the first time, this is the perfect time to answer the call. Death Vigil returns to comic shops tomorrow. Pick up your copy at your local comic shop, and if you've never experienced one of Stjepan Šejić's finest creator-owned works, there's never been a better time to join the Vigil. #DeathVigil #StjepanSejic #TopCow #ImageComics #ComicBooks #FantasyComics #HorrorComics #DarkFantasy #CreatorOwned #NewComicDay @stjepansejic @Marc_Silvestri

PSA for anyone using Amazon A+ Content: go look at your modules. I keep seeing banners crammed with text that turns blurry and unreadable at actual size. If the words are part of the image, they usually don't survive the compression — and no one's zooming in to decipher them (usually, they're too blurry that zooming in can't save it either). Keep text minimal in the graphics, or leave it out and let the module's own text field carry it.

I'm also going to have a print edition available at 17.49 once I can verify the proof copy. While I make more royalties for the ebook format, I'm a strong proponent of owning physical books and went with a lower profit to ease the costs to readers who share my enthusiasm.

🦔A researcher invented a fake eye condition called bixonimania, uploaded two obviously fraudulent papers about it to an academic server, and watched major AI systems present it as real medicine within weeks. The fake papers thanked Starfleet Academy, cited funding from the Professor Sideshow Bob Foundation and the University of Fellowship of the Ring, and stated mid-paper that the entire thing was made up. Google's Gemini told users it was caused by blue light. Perplexity cited its prevalence at one in 90,000 people. ChatGPT advised users whether their symptoms matched. The fake research was then cited in a peer-reviewed journal that only retracted it after Nature contacted the publisher. My Take The researcher made the papers as obviously fake as possible on purpose. The AI systems didn't catch it. Neither did the human researchers who cited it in real journals, which means people are feeding AI-generated references into their work without reading what they're actually citing. I've covered the FDA using AI for drug review, the NYC hospital CEO ready to replace radiologists, and ChatGPT Health launching this year. All of that is happening in the same environment where a condition funded by a Simpsons character and endorsed by the crew of the Enterprise was being presented as emerging medical consensus. The people making these deployment decisions seem to believe the pipeline from research to AI to patient is more supervised than it actually is. This experiment suggests it isn't supervised much at all. Hedgie🤗 nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

The craziest contraction in English is “every”. In Old English we could deconstruct it as: ā in fēore ā ġe hwā līċ which would probably be nonsense to an Old English speaker, but literally means “ever in my life ever like something”. By the OE period it had already been contracted to ǣfre + ǣġhwelċ (which was also frequently being shorted to ǣlċ) which is equivalent to MnE “ever+each”, and then we started getting everich in Middle English, which grew into our “every”.
