Pasará un tiempo antes de que la plena importancia de estos resultados electorales se haga clara. Antes de sacar la ábaco y hacer cálculos deberíamos estar celebrando el notable logro de los partidos que representan a los ciudadanos palestinos de Israel. Ahí radica el futuro
It will be a while before the full significance of these election results becomes clear.
But before taking out the abacus and calculating calculations, we all should be celebrating the remarkable achievement of the parties representing the Palestinian citizens of Israel. Therein lies the future.

Hay una mayoría holgada(70 escaños a 50 escaños) para expulsar a la extrema derecha del gobierno de Israel. Sólo se puede hacer aceptando la participación de los partidos de mayoría árabe(17 escaños) y superando el racismo.
Al contrario de lo que dice la prensa española Netanyahu y su coalición han perdido las elecciones por un margen de 20 escaños de los 120 en su parlamento. @el_pais @eldiarioes
El bloque de la oposición está unos escaños por delante del de Netanyahu. Las listas de mayoría árabe obtendrán entre 17 y 18 escaños en total y tendrán el equilibrio de poder. Los liberales israelíes ahora deben trabajar con los árabes si quieren expulsar a Bibi.
La oposición a Netanyahu consigue 70 escaños a 50 escaños de la coalición de Netanyahu. Los partidos de mayoría palestina consiguieron 17 escaños y pueden ser decisivos para formar un gobierno.

Hay muchos colegios electorales en Jerusalén occidental mientras no hay ninguno para los 300 mil palestinos que viven en Jerusalén oriental. Israel considera a toda la ciudad de Jerusalén, ya anexionada, como su eterna capital. Más de la mitad de sus habitantes no pueden votar.

Stunning to contemplate that even in a preferential democracy where Palestinian citizens of Israel suffer discrimination that it may be their votes that returns Israel to a more democratic path from the populist undemocratic nationalism of Netanyahu's brand.
Half-way through Election Day and turnout is highest in over 50 years. In part driven by the Arab vote. If this continues until 2200 the Netanyahu bloc will shrink further and the hard-right Amcha Yisrael party increasingly unlikely to cross the electoral threshold. OTOH also the Eisenkot bloc will be smaller and the only option for them to form a government will be some kind of deal with the Arab parties.

Las elecciones presidenciales de Brasil tienen una derivada clave en materia de salud global.
El gobierno de Lula no solamente ha logrado avances significativos en lo referente a su sistema sanitario (universalización del acceso al sistema sanitario, centrado en Atención Primaria y desarrollo de capacidades de producción de medicamentos con fuerte alineamiento con el acceso a tratamientos, fortalecimiento de FIOCRUZ), sino también ha posicionado a Brasil como uno de los actores clave en la reestructuración de la salud global.
Si gana Lula, la salud del mundo contará no sólo con un aliado clave, también con un líder. Si no, se abre una incertidumbre nada halagüeña.
