YouTuber Davy Jones states that GTA 6’s Lead Developer and Co-director Rob Nelson said “the consoles are running the game at 30 frames per second.” While the PS5 Pro will have enhancements, those have yet to be detailed. As much as GTA 6 will be state-of-the-art technically and graphically, I’ll be a bit less impressed if it’s only 30 fps, given that nearly all console games this generation have offered a 60 fps mode. You can push a game’s tech and visuals much further when you only have to target 30 fps. While CPU limitations may be the primary cause, comparing GTA 6 to other games that had to include 60 fps modes would no longer be as fair a comparison. Davy adds: “According to the director, it is still necessary to consult the technical team to determine if there will be a 60 FPS option at launch (or in the future). He also emphasizes that he does not currently have details on resolution and other technical qualities, such as the use of ray tracing, but the performance, for now, is 30 FPS.” Full link: videogameschronicle.com/news…

GTA VI is a locked 30fps on Xbox Series X and S and PS5, according to Rockstar North. I wouldn't expect some magic 60fps mode on PS5 Pro with 1.31% more CPU performance over the X.
