Alvaro Folgueiras has been showcasing his passing ability through the Cardinals’ first two exhibition games, recording 4 assists against Kansas and 5 tonight against Mercyhurst. @blakemccauley_ asked Karter Knox and Seth Trimble how much easier Folgueiras makes their lives on the offensive end of the floor. “I love Alvaro… playing with him, it’s just so crazy ’cause it’s like he’s a big and a guard,” Knox said. Trimble echoed that sentiment, explaining how Folgueiras’ passing opens up opportunities for his teammates. “It just makes the game easier, simple as put… those cuts that are there that he’s able to thread the needle on, we’re able to set him screens, we trust him pushing the ball down the floor…” The big man finished with 4 points (2-of-2 FG), 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals against Mercyhurst. The Cardinals open regular-season play November 2 against Chattanooga inside the KFC Yum! Center at 9 PM ET!
