Tamil Nadu government under CM Thalapathy Vijay has taken the Public (Law and Order) Department out of the RTI Act. The government issued a GO under Section 24(4) and classified the department as an “Intelligence and Security Organisation.” The Tamil Nadu Public can no longer use RTI to ask for many sensitive law-and-order files from this department. What kind of information will now be difficult to get in Tamil Nadu?
> Reports on communal and caste clashes
> Inquiry reports on police firing / encounters
> Reports on deaths in police custody and allegations of torture
> Files related to NSA and COFEPOSA detentions
> Details of political, student and labour agitations
> Monthly law-and-order review notes Why is this being criticised?
Opposition parties say this reduces transparency. They argue that information on police action, custodial deaths and communal violence is exactly the kind of information the public should be able to seek through RTI. The government has not yet given a detailed public explanation beyond calling it an intelligence and security organisation.

Arrested for crossing via Mizoram, alleged training in Myanmar, then released and cleared to travel home. Default bail isn’t a conspiracy - it’s the law when a chargesheet isn’t complete in time. Fair enough. But passports released and overseas travel allowed while the case is still pending feels like the court is betting on compliance. Hope that bet is right. If even two of them don’t come back, this becomes a much uglier story. What’s the actual enforcement if they don’t show up?
#WATCH | Delhi: Myanmar Training Camp case | Two foreign nationals from Ukraine and the US were released from Tihar Jail. The special NIA court at Rouse Avenue has granted permission to US National Matthew Aaron Vandyke and 6 Ukrainian nationals to travel to the USA and Ukraine to meet their families for one month, subject to certain conditions and formalities. The court directed the release of their passports to them. All 7 foreigners have been granted default bail by the court.

A Gen Z intern at McDonald’s India used the official @mcdonaldsindia account to say his boss Amit Joshi hasn’t paid his stipend since December 2025. He claimed he manages several McDonald’s Asian accounts, had to take extra jobs in customer support and delivery and still goes hungry because he keeps losing money on memecoins. He even posted a photo of his boss from the same handle, then wrote “Thanks, I have claimed the fee!” Those posts are deleted now. Some people say the account got hijacked, others are calling the intern a chad for not staying quiet. McDonald’s hasn’t clearly explained what happened yet.

Just watched #MirzapurTheMovie It’s BHAUKAAL. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a padded Season 4 episode. This plays like a real theatrical film. Bigger fights. Darker politics. Dialogues that leave the hall with you. Writing still cuts. BGM is the MVP. Jaisalmer climax is the moment it becomes unmissable Pankaj Tripathi = control Ali Fazal = rage Munna = chaos + nostalgia Ravi Kishan steals scenes 🔥 Second half sags once, then slams back. Guddu–Munna ending is funny and already teasing the next chapter Series fans get the high…New viewers still get mass cinema Theatre > phone #MirzapurTheMovieReview

Heartbreaking news from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar today. A young man, his father and mother all lost their lives at Khavdya Hill in Tisgaon after a family dispute over a mobile phone escalated. Kunal (19) had gone up the hill. His parents Murlidhar and Sangita, along with police, locals and the fire brigade, spent almost three hours trying to get him to come down safely. Around 1 pm things took a tragic turn and all three fell into the quarry below. No one survived. Bodies have been recovered. The area has seen similar incidents before. Heartbreaking 💔

See how one honest IAS officer can transform the system if he simply decides to do his job. Tukaram Mundhe, Maharashtra FDA Commissioner, is cleaning up the state’s food system: > 1000s of inspections > Crores worth of adulterated milk, paneer & food seizes > Licences of iconic restaurants & clubs suspended > Zero tolerance for hygiene violations & fake products His strict action has set a national example: > Gujarat followed with bans on analogue dairy products > Karnataka launched major raids on star hotels in Bengaluru > Other states are stepping up inspections & shutdowns. Food safety is finally being taken seriously. More power to officers like him!

Meet Avinash Agarwal - now officially the Indian Donald Trump His breakout on India’s Got Latent Season 2 turned him into an overnight sensation. Dressed in full Trump getup with a blonde wig, red cap, suit and tie, he nailed the mannerisms, voice and swagger. He delivered killer jokes and roasts, including Alia Bhatt and Samay Raina, along with strong crowd work. He scored near-perfect 10s and stole the episode. The clip exploded, and his Instagram jumped from ~14K to 140K plus followers in hours. Samay Raina shouted him out with a GOAT emoji. But this didn’t happen overnight > Avinash grew up as a self-described “troublemaker” who loved hanging around and passing comments > In 2013, he represented India at the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking in the USA and finished in the global Top 30 > He scripted brand films featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra > Became a top MC and event host and shared stages with Manisha Koirala, Abhay Deol, Johnny Lever and Anurag Kashyap > He has handled massive events including media launches, awards nights, product launches and MICE events with more than 800 live shows across India over 15 years > From school theatre kid to corporate stage king to viral comedy star this is years of grind finally paying off

A 21-year-old man named Aryan Verma from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was detained on June 13, 2026, for impersonating a Brigadier in the Indian Army. This case has gone viral as a bizarre “fake it till you make it” > Aryan Verma father works as a horticulture inspector, and his mother is a government school teacher > Verma had failed the NEET exam twice and aspired to join the army > He reportedly told his family he had been selected as a Brigadier, a senior rank typically achieved after 20-25 years of service > He had been posing as a senior officer for several months; Army intelligence had inputs since around April 2026 Verma created an elaborate fake setup: > He rented a Tata Harrier SUV fitted with military insignia, a one-star plate, and an Army Headquarters flag > Wore a full Brigadier’s ceremonial uniform; carried fake IDs, including a Brigadier identity card and a suspected forged AFMC card > carried an air pistol and an Army-style regimental cane > hired two bouncers dressed in black as “NSG commandos” and had a uniformed driver with a fake Government of India ID > He drove around Shahjahanpur and nearby districts, sometimes giving motivational talks while claiming to be a high-ranking officer He was caught in a sting operation > Two ex-servicemen, Satish Singh Chauhan and Sudesh Mishra, grew suspicious due to his young age > Along with Army personnel coordinated by officials like Col. A man got frustrated, held up the ticket and fine receipt, and criticized Indian Railways for penalizing passengers for the railways own delays while explaining the situation. The video sparked massive outrage online, with many calling it unfair “revenue collection” or “looting” due to frequent train delays. > A man identified in reports as Aditya Singh Chauhan went to the station to drop off relatives boarding the Pawan Express (scheduled around 12:12 PM) > He bought a standard ₹20 platform ticket (valid for 2 hours only) > The train was delayed by nearly 5 hours (departing past 6-7 PM) > He stayed on the platform with his family. After the train departed, a TTE checked his expired platform ticket and fined him ₹500 under excess fare rules for “without ticket” or overstaying. Railway Respond(from Maharashtra Rail) > The passenger held a morning platform ticket > He reportedly left and re-entered the station multiple times > He was charged around 7:00 PM > They claim he used abusive and intimidating tactics toward staff > As of June 12, the complaint was escalated via railway support, but no refund or resolution is publicly confirmed

Sejal Pawar posted a video apology and a written statement on Instagram > She acknowledges the clip going viral and says she is “very sorry” for saying “the wrong thing.” > She claims it was her first stand-up comedy show ever; she was “very naive” and didn’t expect such a big audience or the clip to blow up > She takes responsibility: “I never intentionally thought that I would say something like that… I understand why people were upset… impact matters more than intent.” > She says she respects cadavers/donors and had even mentioned that in the segment > She promises: “This will never happen again… I will make sure I never get into any sort of actions… I’ll make sure no statement gets out like that.” She ends by noting she sang a song later in the show and asks for the issue to stop, as people are calling it out for a good cause
This clip resurfaced right after the ₹370 Biryani controversy, where a guy lost his job over a crude dating joke. Female MBBS student and content creator Sejal Pawar (from KEM Hospital / Seth GS Medical College) appeared on Pranit More’s crowd-work show and casually shared this: > During anatomy dissections, she and her friends would joke about measuring and commenting on the penis sizes of male cadavers (donated bodies) > She mentioned the professor also chiming in with remarks > The entire audience, including the comedian, laughed heartily at the dark humor. > Many are now asking: If a man’s edgy joke led to instant firing and cancellation, why is there no similar outrage or professional consequences here? > Sejal has since made her Instagram private Critics are calling it disrespectful to body donors, unethical for a future doctor, and a clear case of selective standards. Thoughts?

The scariest thing in Obsession (2026) isn’t the love or blood…It’s Ignorance Every sign was there. Bear just chose not to listen. Sometimes the real monster is the one who ignores the cries for help > She’s trapped inside her own body, fighting the curse > Nikki screaming for help the whole movie… while Bear refuses to hear her > Crying like a broken old woman in the corner > Stealing control at the party just to beg and run > Glitching through that poem that says she only loved him like a brother > Twisting unnaturally like her soul is being strangled > Those raw, demonic screams on the customer service line #Obsession

🚨 Just got that loud government alert on your phone? No need to panic! Today, India successfully tested its new indigenous Cell Broadcast emergency alert system. This homegrown tech (developed by C-DOT) lets authorities send instant, geo-targeted disaster warnings to all phones in an area without clogging SMS networks or needing internet. It’s a big upgrade for faster alerts during earthquakes, floods, cyclones, and more. The test message was a trial run by NDMA. Real emergencies will include clear instructions. Proud moment for India’s disaster preparedness! #alert
