✅ FACT CHECKED — Polish President Karol Nawrocki was caught on camera stopping a far-left, pro-EU coup d’état.
The coup was attempted shortly after he left Poland for a state visit to Senegal. The president turned his flight mid-air after learning a contested judge suspended Constitutional Tribunal president Bogdan Święczkowski.
Nawrocki entered with the Supreme Court head amid police, protesters, and scuffles at the doors. Inside, he told the contested judges they were not legitimate Tribunal members, effectively dismissing them.
The clash is part of a long-running fight to control of Poland’s highest court.
• Turning the plane around: True. President Karol Nawrocki (PiS-backed, elected 2025) aborted his Senegal trip mid-flight on October 30 after Anna Korwin-Piotrowska (a judge elected by the current parliamentary majority but never sworn in by him) suspended Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski. He stated the president must be in Poland.
• Overnight entry with the Supreme Court head amid police/protesters/scuffles: True. He arrived after midnight with Supreme Court First President Zbigniew Kapiński and entered the building. Videos show pushing and physical contact at the doors; each side accuses the other of initiating force. Police were present due to protests and earlier incidents.
• Telling the judges they are not legitimate: True. Inside, he told Korwin-Piotrowska and other contested judges words to the effect of “You are not judges of the Constitutional Tribunal.” Videos of this exist.

✅ FACT CHECKED — Jane-Michelle Arc, a 48-year-old transgender software engineer from San Francisco, left the United States after President Trump’s reelection, citing safety fears, and sought asylum in the Netherlands.
Dutch officials denied the claim, deeming the U.S. a safe country.
Housed at the Ter Apel refugee camp, Arc later called conditions “dire” and reported anti-trans hostility from other seekers, saying he felt unsafe walking nearby and feared harm.
He labeled leaving America “the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.”
Arc has returned to California.
