Let me explain something to adults over 45. Young white men cannot get jobs. I mean this in the most literal sense. We have valedictorians and nuclear engineers and rocket scientists living in their cars sending out 800 job applications who cannot get a job at McDonalds or the local grocery store. That's how severe the dead zombie economy is for young men. Young white men don't give a shit anymore. They are completely demoralized and exhausted. President Trump is a businessman and we voted for a businessman to fix the economy. Under his leadership we have suffered 6 years of DEI racial discrimination. If President Trump cannot fix the problem, he needs to be honest and explain what's stopping him. But he made a purposeful decision to prioritize Boomers over young men and that's why he lost the midterms.

BREAKING: Revolut moved ~2,000 engineers onto self-hosted GLM for coding and pushed Claude Code and Codex to the exception list. Per David Abitbol, who leads AI ops there: 56 Nvidia B200s, a blended 30 cents per million tokens, roughly a tenth of what they paid Anthropic and OpenAI. Engineering lead time improved 70%. Here's the part that matters: the gains showed up when tokens stopped being rationed. Engineers quit saving AI for the hard tickets and pointed it at everything. Frontier models become the exception, open weights become the default. That's a pricing problem for every lab heading to IPO. h/t @OliverMolander Would you move your team off frontier APIs if the bill dropped 90%?

All we need to know, Buffett dumped nearly 700m on his way out the door. Now everyone’s 401k is nearly 8% Apple. They’re buying back stock at 11x sales, AAPL traded 3-5x sales for a decade, but it’s different this time :)
$aapl bragging about the $24B quarterly buyback… sounds impressive until you do the math and realize the $96 billion/year pace represents a 2% shareholder yield on a $5T market cap

In 2006, the evening news told America something the CDC never wanted you to hear: Over 20 years, seniors' flu shot rates more than quadrupled. Their flu deaths didn't fall. They kept climbing. And when reporters asked to interview the government scientist behind the study, the NIH said no. 🧵

There is a fundamental difference between the 2011 peak in silver and what we are seeing today. Back then, rising prices were accompanied by a massive increase in production. Today, that supply response is completely missing. Don’t confuse a violent correction with the end of a cycle. tavicosta.substack.com/p/the…

"Home care" has quickly become the *most common job in blue states*. This video shows why: Because people are billing Medicaid $80k+ a year for work that they aren't actually doing. Watch this refugee pull into a driveway for 2 minutes each day to trick the GPS anti-fraud system:

The fact that it is illegal for an ACA-compliant healthcare plan to charge more for a 600lb morbidly obese 30 year old than a healthy 170lb 30 year old male is madness.

“Clarity”? Happy to translate. Don’t screw American workers. Don’t use visa programs as a back door into our nation. We were clear. You were hoping we were kidding. We’re not.
LEAKED: MICROSOFT'S CLOUD + AI CHIEF TELLS EMPLOYEES "WE WANT TO BRING MORE TALENT INTO THE UNITED STATES." That is Scott Guthrie in his division's internal AMA, two days after Microsoft offered buyouts to about 60,000 employees and a week after the US Gov’t suspended their PERM filings. He told visa and green card holders Microsoft will "continue to sponsor" them. He said Microsoft is "working with the US administration to get clarity," and "we're not sure that everyone's looked at the right data."

Back in 2004, I went to the Libertarian Party convention in Atlanta, and after the long weekend decided that I would not join. The people who run it are just too removed from the rest of the movement and the rest of the society. They didn't give shit about Iraq! the most important thing in the world at the time. Hardly heard of it apparently. Didn't know how horrible it would look invite hawks to give speeches. Just facepalm. I tried advising the LP presidential nominee that year. That reinforced the same lesson: This is not worth the effort. I have more important things to do. A few years ago, I finally joined the LP at the urging of my friends who were working to take the party over in the name of the actual American libertarian movement, as exemplified by the thinking and writing of Dr. Ron Paul, especially. The real point was to get the party together before we ran Dave Smith for president, which he thankfully in retrospect decided not to do. Well, at the last convention the libertarians didn't show up, only the Libertarians. So, a gay porn producer and new wave haircut lady and their crew took the party back over. It really sucks because there are so many good people in the party who work very hard and fight good fights. But the organization itself, as a democracy, is just completely retarded and it always will be. Today a friend sent me screenshots of these degenerate scum -- specifically the LP of San Francisco -- claiming the right to hurt children because they think freedom means getting away with being a piece of shit and violating the rights of helpless victims. Send in the SWAT Team. It's a foregone conclusion that the party leadership will do nothing about this. The LP always has been and remains a disaster for the good name of our movement. They'll probably run that filth Joe Walsh for president next time. He fits right in there. So I hereby officially resign from the Libertarian Party, and will instead continue to fight for liberty by other means.

The Taliban provided better training in firearm safety than the literal UK police. The reason why you are facing backlash is because someone who is supposed to be trusted to handle a firearm proficiently is so poorly trained but you took the pic and hit post.
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has responded to the unacceptable online abuse directed at a Met officer who received an award at yesterday's annual Police Federation Conference. PC Fiona Shaik Umar was recognised for the outstanding contribution she has made for women in policing.

The vast majority of criticism was not because she is Muslim, but because she was not following very basic gun safety rules. Her finger was on the trigger and she pointed the barrel of the gun at a fellow officer. gunsafetyrules.nra.org hunter-ed.com/muzzleloader/s… x.com/BasilTheGreat/… x.com/WilkieisBack66… x.com/LozzaFox/statu…

If you’re selling gold because of fusion alchemy, you’re front-running a reactor that doesn’t exist, fed with mercury that costs 100,000x more than the gold it makes, to produce bars you couldn’t legally sell for 15 years. Marathon Fusion’s idea is real physics, since fusion neutrons can turn mercury-198 into gold. 1. Even optimistic models give 2–5 tonnes per gigawatt plant per year, against roughly 3,500–4,000 tonnes of annual mine supply 2. Enriched mercury-198 sells for about $15,000 per milligram today, while gold trades near $135 per gram 3. The gold would need 14–18 years of storage before it can be sold, so a plant’s first sellable bar arrives well over a decade after it switches on
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
