I had the great pleasure of interviewing Bruce Daisley... Listen to as he talks about Fortitude and how you can apply his theory whilst leading your agency. buff.ly/3KNJiSC #brucedaisley #fortitude #resilience #agencyleader #digitalagency @brucedaisley

Hey @kimballscott take a look. Evidence for your argument that "the shit sandwich" feedback method is, well, bad shit!
Kill the feedback “sandwich” 🥪! The sandwich (start with something positive, then the negative, then something positive) is bad: it backfires - not changing incorrect behavior while also upsetting the recipient. Don’t manipulate, here are feedback tips: hbr.org/tip/2019/11/feedback…

No, thank you! :) Had a great time. Really enjoyed diving into the effects of some of these humanist practices, as it can be difficult to defend such approaches without the hard evidence.

What happens when an academic and a comedian get together to discuss your research? You learn a lot and laugh your head off while listening! Thank you @DanCable1 @AkinOmobitan
You probably already know about “Pygmalion effects” of expecting t best from someone. But do you know about the “Underdog effect” where people get motivated to “prove the naysayers wrong?” Thanks @snurmo @Penn @Wharton squeezingtheorange.podbean.c…

An old article in @HarvardBiz by @DanCable1 which I think will always be relevant. 'Humility and servant leadership do not imply that leaders have low self-esteem, or take on an attitude of servility.' Top down leadership is outdated. #HR #Leadership hbr.org/2018/04/how-humble-l…

Yes!! Love this approach to highlighting ME and WE. The real multiplier is when you think about your WORLD strengths - the reason you're doing the work you do, to serve the people & planet around you. #purposefulleadership
Your signature strengths are what you like doing *and* you're good at doing. It's when your "we-strength" overlaps with your "me-strength." It's why we're strengthened by using signature strengths. Thanks @ThereseHuston for your cool article on this topic! ideas.ted.com/2-kinds-of-pra…
Being Negative Is A No-No: When people marinate in negative emotions or approach life with a negative mindset, it limits their focus & purview. As Barbara Fredrickson has shown, it "prevents our brains from looking for other choices & options" that often lead to better outcomes.

Thank you for squeezing in a chat about this research. Without knowing, leaders are worsening the disengagement pandemic. But there are strategies to avoid that. @AkinOmobitan @DanCable1 @wsj @HarvardHBS

We're told again and again about the virtues of having grit, ambition and a never-say-die attitude. But you know what, it's just as important to bend with the wind and be adaptable. For this week's Psyche Guide, I've looked into how to let go of a dream psyche.co/guides/how-to-let-…
