As we celebrate Homecoming next week, we look forward to recognizing our 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees! A ceremony will take place on Thurs, Sept. 25 at 5:15 p.m. at the Boman Fine Arts Center. They will also be recognized at halftime of the football game on Friday night.

On June 2, 2025, Sergeant of the Guard Sgt. 1st Class Andrew Jay took his final walk as a Tomb Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. In a powerful farewell, he laid roses at each crypt of the Unknown Soldiers, then walked off the plaza hand in hand with his 8-year-old son, Finn.

Fran McCaffery’s 15 yrs at Iowa (since 2010-11):
• 297-207 rec (.589)
• MOST wins in Iowa MBB history
• 8 yrs of 20+ wins
• 7 NCAA Tourn app
• 2022 Big Ten Tourn 🏆
It wasn’t stellar at the end…
But Fran did a LOT of good in Iowa City.

Looking forward to the 1st Forest City Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony tomorrow night at the Bowman. So many deserving Indians over the years, but these 3: Bob Hilmer, Nate Ludwig, & Rob Kampman are a great introductory class. Hope to see a lot of FC fans there tomorrow at 5:30
I’ve heard it said and can’t agree more. The women’s basketball game needs their officials to catch up with their high level of play both at the wnba and women’s college level - so inconsistent.

The resilience of Johnetta and Steve Forbes is truly inspiring.
The coaching community is behind Johnetta and the entire Forbes family.

1st practice of season #23 for me. So much fun to get started! Kids brought a lot of energy tonight!

One of the best leaders the sport has seen. I’ve been critical of the Iowa offense many times, but by the same note we have to acknowledge coaches leadership in keeping his team together. Coach Brian called a great game against a tough Rutgers defense.
This sport demands your best every single day, and that still doesn’t guarantee you anything. If you’re in it long enough, most will have their moments of greatness, but sustained greatness is rare. Kirk Ferentz is sustained greatness.
When you consider that, Iowa is really a wild punt return call away from being 9-1.. it’s hard to imagine a B1G coach of the year convo without mentioning Kirk Ferentz name

Former Indian Parker Farland is battling cancer at Mayo. Parker was one of the most competitive kids I coached and I know he's got this, but could use our help. Here are two ways to support Parker. #AlwaysAnIndian

Meanwhile I’m pretty sure Kim Mulkey could walk straight to center court with a flamethrower and they’d just politely tell her to move back.
Congratulations to my nephew @AdamJones_3 and @DCG_GirlsBball for winning the class 4A state basketball championship. Proud of the program he’s built there. Amazing accomplishment.
