NEWSFLASH: Dominion CTO Eric Coomer’s libel case against me for saying Dominion’s equipment rigs elections was just thrown out by the judge on summary judgment. Trial was supposed to start next Wednesday, but the judge read our evidence and realized I was correct. No libel.

Thanks for sharing Tim. There are many shades of grey that most Bitcoiners fail to recognize.
Not all Bitcoin treasury companies are created equal. ₿ From @Strategy to @Metaplanet, @Strive, @Tesla, and others, the approaches to accumulating Bitcoin vary dramatically. @boydcohen unveiled this fascinating Bitcoin Treasury Spectrum today at @MitaTechTalks. The big question: Which business model wins over the next decade? And which companies would YOU move to a different quadrant? Great framework for debate. 👇

Someone paid for a full-page ad in the WSJ to tell public company CEOs that tokenization is a threat to their stock, their investors, and their businesses. The imagery includes skulls, radiation symbols, and a warning that companies have 30 days to act. There are legitimate questions about tokenized equities. Price discovery, liquidity fragmentation, shareholder rights, custody, and regulatory oversight all deserve serious consideration. Those questions deserve better than fear-based marketing. The SEC has established a conditional framework for certain tokenized stock trading venues, including a process that lets companies object to third-party tokenization of their shares. That is a very different picture from crypto simply operating beyond the reach of regulation. The more interesting question is why we’re treating tokenization as something companies need to defend themselves against rather than a market structure they can evaluate, participate in, and potentially benefit from. Public companies should absolutely care about how their shares are represented and traded. They should also be asking what happens when investors increasingly expect markets to operate around the clock, assets to move across platforms, and ownership records to become programmable. You can debate the right implementation, the regulatory framework, and who should control the infrastructure. Pretending the technology itself is the threat misses the bigger picture.

The next generation of dominant real estate owners may be building their acquisition capital in Bitcoin today. That is the part of @leonwankum thesis I find most interesting. A real estate company can use property cash flow to accumulate Bitcoin during normal markets. If that reserve appreciates over time, the owner enters the next CRE downturn with liquid purchasing power that developed independently from the portfolio. That capital can fund acquisitions, strengthen equity positions, or support financing when competitors are constrained. Grant Cardone is already experimenting with real estate structures that incorporate Bitcoin. The first-mover advantage could eventually show up where CRE investors care most: who has the capital to buy when pricing finally breaks. Read full article - bitcoinmagazine.com/videos/l…

A lot of real estate worked perfectly at 4% debt. At 7%, the same asset can break. That 300 basis point shift exposed just how many properties were dependent on cheap capital. This is where the strategy gets interesting. @DanielBitHedge Watch the full episode. xitter.cf/REstandardPod/status/2…

Dinner with an exec/friend at a large national property management company tonight. This person oversees ~150k apartments; access to an insane amount of data. Current multifamily market in most of the country is worse than S&L, .com bust, or the GFC. Worst they’ve seen. Class A mostly fine, decent rent growth. However: - credit scores at class A have gone down meaningfully over the past 3 years. - more people are paying rent via credit card. - average bank account balance noticeably lower than even 2 years ago - class A tenants stretched thin, living beyond their means. 20k comes in, 20k goes out every month. - starting to see these renters move down a tier Class B: - simply too many apartments, we built too much new stuff. Ripple effect is enormous. - fewer renters tomorrow than today. Same store foot traffic noticeably down year over year. Some markets down 40-50% - considering dropping rents below $700 a month on some 1beds in major southern markets. Class C: - looking at degrading NOI. Rents aren’t growing for a long time, but expenses keep creeping up - more renters are one missed paycheck away from disaster than they can remember seeing in decades - tenants aren’t paying rent because they simply don’t have it - wage growth has not kept up Lenders: - some major investment funds, household names, haven’t paid their mortgages in 2-3 years. Banks won’t foreclose because “X is a big client.” Mexican standoff. - a roof leak gets ignored, becomes water damage, then mold, then a down building. Buildings are rapidly deteriorating as some owners choose cash preservation over funding losses. - number of pre-foreclosure and REO deals is the highest as a % of total units they can recall. - data providers know it’s bad, but they’re paid to sell optimism to owners/lenders. So every forecast is “it will probably get a little better next year maybe” and that gets regurgitated at investment committees all over. I asked “how do you think this ends?” “Not sure. My gut says slowly then suddenly, and things will get really bad. Been doing this 40 years, you can feel it in the air. But, there’s a chance it’s just a decade of tolerable pain. I’m praying for that.”

Bitcoin goes to zero. Your principal is protected. Rising rates usually hurt bonds. For a new Bitcoin Bond, they mean more Bitcoin. Here’s how. At issuance, Treasury yields and the bond’s term determine how much capital is needed to support the capital-recovery target. Higher yields shrink that number, leaving more room for Bitcoin exposure. The Treasury leg’s interest and repayment do the rebuilding. The Bitcoin leg carries the upside, with no stated return ceiling. You get Bitcoin’s upside on top of a repayment plan built from Treasury cash flows. Build the floor with Treasuries. Let Bitcoin open the ceiling ⚡ Episode 2 of our 12-part series breaks it down in 2 minutes 👇 The first Bitcoin Bond auction goes live November 16. Your bond portfolio has 2 jobs: 🔸️ Protect Your Capital 🔸️ Pay You Income Right now, bonds fail at both... The real rate of inflation is greater than the yield being paid to you. In purchasing power terms, your real interest rate is negative ⚠️ That's why we created Bitcoin Bonds. So fixed income investors can have access to bond-like risk + equity-like returns. A principal-protected bond that creates a real positive rate of return for the saver. In this 12-part educational series, watch how all the pieces fit together to deliver what we believe to be one of the world's best risk/reward fixed income products. Tokenization is a generational facelift to global capital markets. Stablecoins are a generational facelift to payments. Perps are a generational facelift to futures trading. Vaults are a generational facelift to ETFs. Think bigger. The money of the future is being built before your eyes.

Texas ranchers are the backbone of this country- deeply woven into the fabric of American society and culture. They're getting squeezed by a monetary system that quietly erodes their margins while they feed the nation. Bitcoin gives them a way to hold value that can't be debased while maintaining control of the real estate and the operating business. They can focus on what they do best and let Bitcoin do the rest.Nothing would honor them better than sound money for the people who put food on every table. 🤠

The median US homebuyer is now 59. In 1985, they were 33. If a buyer at that age takes out a new 30-year mortgage, they make their last payment at 89. You could retire from work decades before you retire from the mortgage. The 30-year fixed was built in 1934 for a 33-year-old and sized to a working life. The buyer aged 26 years. The loan never changed. A Bitcoin Mortgage Reserve adds a second engine on the same loan. Your payments reduce the loan balance while the Bitcoin reserve compounds against it from the other side. The day your share of that reserve exceeds what you owe, it retires the mortgage outright. At 30% CAGR, that's around year 8. Paying until 89, or free at 67. Same house. Same payment. Only one of them lets you retire ⚡ Build Wealth Smarter.

Govt feels broken. 18 months of work between our industry, dems and republicans and Clarity falls apart on the 5 yard line. All the issues got to a hard fought compromise other than one. On Ethics both sides dug in and decided their stance was more important than the long run good of a major industry and our countries chance to lead it. Republicans were afraid of putting real limits on a President’s ability to profit from digital assets. Dems decided that this one industry is where they would fight a corruption battle. They were scared to be seen doing anything that could be perceived as being soft on the President. There had been a bi-partisan proposal that would have worked but it got hi-jacked in the politics of it all. I am very disappointed that neither side could find a way to cross that chasm. I know there is an election in 7 weeks and that dominated the actions of both sides. What is crazy is the I honestly don’t believe crypto and this bill will be a top 10 issue in this election. It was in 2024 but this year will be about the war, inflation, affordability, Ai , immigration and what party has a better answer to those questions. I do have faith that the SEC and CFTC will drive on with rules for the road and hopefully in time congress will find a way to memorialize them so people can have a longer term confidence in how digital assets will be treated in the US. Maybe Mitch McConnell coming back in a wheel chair after 90 days was s comic signs to amplify how broken Congress is. We go back to work tomorrow. And continue building.
