EMS personnel are likely to encounter organ transplant recipients more frequently in the future because of advancements in medical science. In the prehospital environment, distinguishing bacterial, viral, and/or fungal infections from organ rejection in a transplant recipient is extremely difficult because these conditions often present with overlapping and nonspecific symptoms. Understanding the unique presentations and treatment needs of this growing patient population can help guide appropriate prehospital care: ow.ly/my5F51017LK

Our cities were safer when EMS, police, and fire could live in them. Think about it: I pay you $X/year and you spend that money to live somewhere else. It is not acceptable

NYC needs to fix the pay at FDNY EMS.
NYC needs to increase the amount of ambulances that are on the streets.
The @FDNYfc is an empty XXXL suit with a high school diploma, and should not be running FDNY.
Replying to @FDNY
@FDNY EMS response times to life-threatening emergencies have increased by 3 minutes and 50 seconds, a 41.2% increase from 2015, all the while life-threatening medical emergencies have surged 22%. This is a huge public safety risk that needs to be addressed with increased recruitment, retention and better pay.
Can someone help Peter out?
