Seattle ran the AJ Barner tush push three times last night, their most in a game since they began using the play in 2025. They converted all three. They're 4 of 4 this year and 14 of 15 in all, plus four more first downs coming via penalty (they false started on a try in Week 1).

Highest blitz rates in a game this season:
1. Vikings Week 7
2. Vikings Week 2
3. Vikings Week 1
For the season, the difference in blitz rate between the Vikings and No. 2 Commanders is the same as the difference between the Commanders and No. 32 Bengals.

Darnold and JSN hitting on two 28 yard bombs down the left sideline in the span of ~1 minute late in the second quarter was incredible stuff. Spags was in hell

New Chart Monday! I have YPRR against Man Coverage vs. YPRR against Zone Coverage
If you really want to know, Omar Cooper would be two full chart lengths to the right of Tee Higgins
- 2.98 YPRR vs. Zone and 10.69 YPRR vs. Man

New column: Asking "Is it time to..."
- Worry about Derrick Henry?
- Give up on the Texans defense?
- Start talking about the Vikings as a historically great defense?
- Move on from Aaron Glenn?
And a bunch more from Week 7!

It's much less common in the salary cap era, but top 5 defense in 3+ years in a row by DVOA since 1994:
1994-97 SF
1999-2003 TB
2008-11 BAL
2014-16 DEN
2015-17 ARI
2016-19 MIN
2021-23 DAL
2021-23 SF
Replying to @ASchatzNFL
Has any team ever been a top 3 or even a top 5 defense by DVOA three or more years in a row? I wonder if using historical examples this kind of regression by the Texans defense was more likely than maintaining the same level of performance for a third year in a row.
I created a fun stat in the offseason that outlines how often a WR does "dope shit"
It's the percentage of routes a WR either scored a touchdown, earned a 1st-down reception, a 20+ yard reception, forced a missed tackle, or made a contested or "Hero" catch
Here are the league leaders through 7 Weeks (per @FantasyPtsData)
1. Omar Cooper: 42.0% 👀
2. Mike Evans: 40.9%
3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba: 40.2%
4. Zay Flowers: 33.3%
5. Tee Higgins: 30.6%
6. Puka Nacua: 30.1%
7. DJ Moore: 29.9%
8. CeeDee Lamb: 27.9%
9. Malik Nabers: 27.7%
10. Nico Collins: 27.6%

Vikings RB Aaron Jones’ knee injury that he suffered during Sunday’s win over the Colts is not considered to be significant at this time, and a source described him as “day to day.”
