Isabel Oakeshott just called help for children with disabilities in Britain an “absolute racket.”
She says parents are over diagnosing their own children just to grab perks and benefits.
Easy for her, living the high life in Dubai while TalkTV hands her a free platform.
This is pure sneer at the mums and dads who fight every single day for their kids’ basic needs.
Disabled children are not a scam. This makes my heart bleed as I have seen families with disabled children and understand their daily struggles!

I will never understand people like her.
There’s lots of fault all over the place.
But the idea that the racist feeding frenzy and relentless public shaming played no part in this is bananas.
😳 Isabel Oakeshott did not hold back on TalkTV this morning.
Speaking about the death of former Cambridge professor Jason Arday, she was extremely blunt and to the point:
“Suicide is the most horrendous thing that anyone can do to themselves or their family. It is an utterly, utterly tragic and selfish thing to do. It is not anyone else’s fault. It is on the person that took that decision.”
She continued:
“Bluntly, Jason Arday was a fraud. He had made things up to get to the position that he was in. Massively embellishing his credentials and made a whole career out of that. Then it all came tumbling down and he wasn’t tough enough to ride it out.”
Oakeshott rejected attempts to blame the media or anyone else, insisting no one is responsible for another person’s decision to take their own life and that Arday’s academic career had been built on dishonesty that finally collapsed under scrutiny.
No punches pulled.

I met Julia Hartley-Brewer when we were both 18. I don’t know how she got to where she is but the idea that revelling in a suicide on a microblogging platform as a career move was just not something that occurred in 1988. I feel so lucky to have come of age in that world not this one.
