Returned to Gen 2 hunting today for the first time in months out of spite for Logan Paul. I was going for Onix but instead found a 9% Shiny Larvitar after 9915 REs. Honestly completely unexpected, but Logan only wishes he could find something this cool.

Shiny 4% Scyther has been found after 37 phases, 12687 Scyther seen, and 318,768 total encounters! It unfortunately fled first bait, but I'm so glad I finally got to see it after almost 2 years of hunting. The grind continues, moving on to the 9.09% repel trick! #safariweek2026

Shiny Shadow Croconaw caught in a Net Ball after 9800 SRs!

Shiny Snorlax in Pokémon Red after 9716 SRs!

Shiny Gen 1 Scizor through Old Man Glitch. Scyther Quest #21.

SHINY 1% CHANSEY is Phase 33 for Scyther after 26642 REs!!! This is now my rarest shiny of all time. I never thought I would ever find this let alone before Scyther and I am still in disbelief.

Shiny Gen 1 Scizor using the LOL glitch after 40392 seen! Shoutouts to aestellic, m4n0zz, @cilerba, and everyone else behind the shiny indicator ACE codes to make this hunt go by a lot faster. This is the 20th shiny for my Scyther Quest!

Shiny 20% Scyther in Diamond after 5 phases and 54356 total encounters! Scyther Quest #19.

A year later after obtaining this Scizor, I decided to ribbon master it alongside my XD Scyther. It was a fun and insanely rewarding grind, and definitely the most valuable shinies that I own.

My first shiny in FRLG Switch is a shiny Nidorina after 16352 REs! Phase 25 for the 4% Scyther.
