The leads are weak? You're weak! A man doesn't step in line 'less he wants to buy a roast beef sandwich.

Elm (@elmlang) is the only language that makes me want to do refactoring just for fun. No hard-fact on some website about languages can ever express such things. Try new stuff folks, you never know what you might find. :)

Pro-tip for those sending unsolicited postdoc applications by email. You discredit yourself if you don't know about my work. For example, when your opening refers to me as an "imminent, respected researcher" it's clear you've not done your homework.

There's a wide chasm between founders and employees. Founders generally have ~50-100x as much equity as any employee. Expecting employees to work as hard as the founders is where people run into problems
"Work, Work, Work."
If you say this publicly about startups, you'll be accused of encouraging people to neglect "work-life balance." And yet this same rule turns up when experts give advice about any ambitious undertaking.

I'm looking for a good in-class activity to impart machine learning basics, ideally with a hardware/IoT component. Students have ~zero CS but much enthusiasm. 90-180 minutes. I'd appreciate recommendations and RTs!
