I have returned to my home state of Ohio and am currently at Vivek Ramaswamy’s (@VivekGRamaswamy) victory party. Look at all the press behind me. The media doesn’t go to losing campaign parties. Right now the Ohio vote totals are from early voting, which favors Democrats. Soon this will change as the Election Day totals come in. Vivek and the Republicans will soon be winning by a lot.

Holy crap… It really is a Blue tsunami, this is horrifying.

I grew up in Haley Stevens' congressional district. Something about that place drove Jews crazy. I don't mean politically, I mean on a personal level. It's like it was in the water or something. I had this one friend who, in high school, used to get drunk and vandalize his local synagogue. Another would go to Best Buy with his friends, where they'd stuff their backpacks full of electronics and walk out without paying. They'd line the compartments with aluminum foil to stop the metal detectors from activating. In no sense was the motivation pecuniary -- all boosted goods ended up in the creek. There was another guy I knew -- we called him "Male Nurse Ben" -- who dealt weed and pills from the Bloomfield Hills Public Library. He also traded stocks on the side. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of finance, could quote you numbers from K-10s from memory, give you a short, medium and long-term view on every company he invested in. The catch was that he only ever bought one stock at a time. Not one company -- a single stock. Something about that place, man. I miss Shangri-La Dim Sum.
