Just a helpful reminder that if your style of Catholicism leads you to think it is more important to Jesus that you listen to Latin rather than feed the hungry, you probably are not going to enjoy my timeline.

Two days before his scheduled deposition in the Doe 1 v. US Epstein case, Todd Blanche moves to quash the subpoena.

Malcolm Gladwell is a fucking fraud and has made a career and millions just spewing bullshit that falls apart if you have a working brain or decide to lightly fact-check him. A phenomenally stupid man and grifter.
I have just published a piece that is very important to me. It's about why so many "progressives" and people on "the left" are lying to us right now about crime, safety, and repression, and what we should be doing instead. equalityalec.substack.com/p/…

Note that the new charges against Comey are brought in an information, not an indictment, which means DOJ bypassed the grand jury. The Constitution requires charging via grand jury unless the defendant consents to an information, which does not seem to have happened here.
Pat Fitzgerald, Comey's lawyer "This most recent case involves an October 5, 2016 New York Times article that two different teams of prosecutors investigated during the first Trump administration. Both times the Government determined that no charges should be brought against anyone. Now, ten years after the article was published, the Government filed an 'Information' against Mr. Comey that was not approved by a judge nor issued by a grand jury. It purports to charge Mr. Comey with crimes that he did not commit."

This conversation between David Dault @DaultRadio and Jessica Mesman @Mesman_Griffith is very much worth your time. Powerful stuff for those of us who try to live, think, and write about spiritual things. thingsnotseenradio.com/shows…

Truth. The #HarlanCrowNetwork wants what it wants.
Something that's not being said. The REASON why @AGToddBlanche and @USAttyEssayli are so defiantly violating the Constitution is bc John Roberts said they can't be prosecuted so long as they're following Trump's illegal orders.
Blanche's criminality arises DIRECTLY out of Trump v. US.

Here is the TLDR of the 9th Circuit hearing:
DOJ will lose.
It will be either 2-1 or 3-0.
It will be on jurisdiction and perhaps on the merits.
The argument was a debacle for Trump and the DOJ lawyer who argued it.
Watch for details. youtube.com/live/EsuYPbmWnpo

One thing that's clear in this argument, the reason you have a district court proceeding to develop the facts before a case goes on appeal is to avoid exactly what's happening here: Lawyers unable to answer factual questions, guessing about how stuff works. Not only does the court of appeals lack jurisdiction, this hearing is also a master class in why the district court should do its job & develop the factual record before there is an appeal (even when the appellate court does have jurisdiction)
