Beginning this World 100 week, the Eldora Ballroom will become a place for race fans to hear the stories, memories and personalities that have helped shape our sport.
The Ballroom Sessions is a new, ongoing series that will return during future major events, bringing notable figures from racing together for candid conversations and interactions. Esteemed motorsports historian and storyteller Dave Argabright will serve as the programโs anchor, guiding each session alongside special guests and fellow hosts.
Volume I will feature three-time World 100 champion Jeff Purvis, 1976 World 100 winner Charlie Hughes and โEldoraโs Favorite Son,โ Jack Hewitt. Argabright will be joined by Dustin Jarrett as they revisit memorable moments, share plenty of racing stories and remember the late Larry Moore.
The appearance of Purvis and Hughesโneither of whom has been back to Eldora in many yearsโwill make this inaugural gathering an especially rare treat for longtime fans.
Throughout the week, the Ballroom will also feature a special Larry Moore display containing many of his personal artifacts, trophies and other treasured memorabilia.
The Ballroom Sessions is free to attend and seating is first come first served.

National Earl Day, celebrated annually on June 9, is a lighthearted holiday dedicated to honoring people named Earl.
The unofficial holiday was created in 2016 to honor legendary dirt-track promoter and Eldora Speedway founder, Earl Baltes.

Canโt wait to see what 2026 brings. I am currently looking for a new opportunity within motorsports and I am absolutely more motivated than ever.
Most people know me for my TV & media work, but I've run businesses, planned communication, PR & digital campaigns and operated series and race tracks.
With extensive experience in motorsports โ including event management; journalism with various publications, broadcasting for major networks, short-track tours; and developing strategic communications and media plans โ Iโm eager to contribute to the growth of the sport Iโm passionate about.
Please reach out if you would like to discuss. Iโm confident I can truly make a difference in the sport we love.

Finally finished @SteveKinser11โs book on my flight home from @WorldFinals. What an another remarkable storytelling experience from @DaveArgabright.
I wish so badly I could have seen The King compete in his prime. Unfortunately, I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I saw him race live.
My favorite quote that resonated with me:
โI was lucky โ no other word for it โ to meet so many great people and have so many friendsโฆ Iโve been surrounded by good people throughout my life and they have brought me much happiness.โ

@DaveArgabright has a special talent for story telling that is rare in dirt-track auto racing. I appreciate him for telling these stories and documenting the history of the sport that would otherwise be left untold and forgotten.

@DaveArgabright wrote a stellar book on the ASA. It is a must read so Rex was so far ahead of anyone in his direction of ASA. Sad it ended for sure.
Scott Bloomquist is on my mind. Despite the bright sunshine and the beautiful summer breeze that washes through the open windows, Iโm feeling sad.
He was in the news cycle once again yesterday...
