🌍 Welcome to the IGCS Strategic Alliance Partner Program, Saudi Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SSGO)! Established as an independent scientific society in 2026, SSGO brings together multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to advancing gynecologic cancer care in Saudi Arabia, with an ambitious vision spanning education, fellowship training, research, national guidelines, and prevention. “While IGCS connects professionals and shares expertise across borders, it is national societies that understand the needs of their healthcare communities and can put that knowledge into practice.” – IGCS President Dr. Nadeem Abu-Rustum Congratulations to SSGO’s founders and leadership. We look forward to what we’ll accomplish together! 🤝 Learn more about our Strategic Alliance Partners: igcs.org/membership/strategi…

A great way to start a big week for IGCS in Montréal! Today, we brought together our current Board of Directors and newly elected Board members — connecting the leaders who have helped guide IGCS with those who will help shape what comes next. We’re grateful for their time, expertise, and commitment to our global community, and excited for all that lies ahead. #IGCS2026

In our September IGCS–MEMAGO ECHO Tumor Board, Dr. Takako Kiyokawa (President-elect, ISGyP) explained how the Silva pattern of invasion sorts HPV-associated cervical adenocarcinoma by risk, what pathologists look for under the microscope, and how those findings shape surgical and treatment decisions. Dr. Abir Khaddage then led an interactive case discussion on applying the Silva pattern in clinical practice, moderated by Dr. David Attalah. The full recording is now available to watch on demand: edu360.igcs.org/Public/Catal…

July 17 is International Brachytherapy Day — honoring a powerful, lifesaving cancer treatment that delivers radiation directly inside or next to a tumor. 💡 What is brachytherapy? It’s a form of internal radiation therapy that allows for highly targeted treatment with minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissue. For gynecologic cancers — especially cervical cancer — brachytherapy is a critical component of curative treatment. Yet in many low-resource settings, access remains limited due to equipment costs, infrastructure, and lack of trained specialists. IGCS is a multidisciplinary society, reflecting the diverse expertise required to provide comprehensive care. IGCS is proud to lead educational and mentorship and training initiatives that strengthen radiation therapy services around the world. This November, our Radiation Contouring Workshop in Cape Town (Nov 6) will feature hands-on image guided radiotherapy and brachytherapy training.
