“Even the person who came up with the theory of the ‘alpha wolf’ has since debunked his own research. In fact, we’ve learned wolf packs are simply regular families, doing whatever is necessary for survival.” Really loved this column from @PaulHudrick: libertyballers.com/76ers-ana…

Per league sources, Joel Embiid was a heavy figure in LeBron's recruitment, and that recruitment lasted throughout the process

To be very clear, LeBron is part of the return in the PG trade. He doesn't come without it.

Watching this exceptional game, capping off an incredible series, with teams built around tanking (Thunder) and multiple top-3 picks in a row (Spurs), thinking about how none of this would happen under the new anti-tanking rules but at least Utah will play Lauri down the stretch

“I never ran from anything in my life, but I was running from that moment”- John Starks on 1994 Finals’ Game 7 John Starks went 2-18 in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals. He wanted to wash that game away, but the remnants of that nightmare still lingered. He struggled at the start of the next season. It wasn’t until he cut all the lights off, grabbed a clicker, & watched the game start to finish that the demons were exorcised. He’d never ran from anything in his life & it was time to stop running from this. @thepivot on @youtube & streaming platforms. #ThePivot #JohnStarks #GameSeven #NYknicks youtu.be/72WwEFcgtP0

Little fun fact the Sixers waived Julian Champagnie so they could make room for Mac Mclung, so he could compete in a sixers jersey for the dunk contest

Celtics have a 27-0 advantage in bench points here early in the second quarter vs. the Sixers. Boston had a 34-13 edge in Game 3.

Danny Green, a three-time NBA champ (who won a title with OG Anunoby), backed off his prediction of Knicks winning the East because of “rumblings” of a fractured team. Here’s what Green said in media conference call yesterday with ESPN, where he works as an analyst: “Simply because the fact that the Knicks this year, especially late in the season, they looked very up-and-down. They looked like they were disconnected; the chemistry wasn't there. There are rumblings about some guys don't like Mike Brown or work with the coaches. There are rumblings that some guys are feeling they're not getting touches or there's over usage of Jalen Brunson. That seems to me like a team that could self-implode.”

Maxey NEEDS to study what Harden did to steal game 1 in Boston without Embiid. -Got to HIS spots all game. -Didn’t settle for bad shots -Looked for his shot WHILE setting up for others. -Took floaters after beating his man instead of contested layups

Philly kinda got bailed out by Melo's frigid shooting, but they did a magnificent job navigating all those complicated Charlotte flare screens in the 2nd half. Really good defensive effort on the perimeter
