I miss California

I learnt about a founder of a SaaS platform for restaurants who volunteered to work at a company that delivered fish. He had to get up every day at 4am and visit the various restaurants in a van. My guess is his persona document had insights he'd never have unearthed otherwise.

Heard some fluttering like a large insect last night as I was falling asleep. Turned on the light and it was a bat! It couldn't find its way out. Opened the windows as wide as I could and tucked the curtains over the rail and eventually it made its way out. Poor little fella.

It amazes me how many people profess to being experts in something that they've never actually done personally. There's a big difference between rehashing excerpts from The Lean Startup vs having actually built a product business yourself.
