The BBC has agreed to pay £400,000 to an award-winning Jewish documentary-maker who alleged she was subjected to antisemitism and pushed out of the corporation after October 7. Lucie Kon, 57, spent 22 years at the BBC and worked on programmes including Panorama, Today, BBC Breakfast and Storyville. Films she commissioned or helped produce won an Oscar, Emmy and Bafta. Kon says her treatment changed dramatically after the Hamas attacks. She alleges colleagues described Zionists like her as “evil”, argued that Israel should be called terrorist if Hamas was, and told her to consider what had driven Hamas to carry out the massacre. When she proposed a documentary about October 7, Kon says she was told she was “too partial” to oversee it because she was Jewish. She subsequently filed a formal grievance, but a BBC investigation rejected her complaint. Kon says she was then kept away from work for months. During a restructuring, her position was made redundant and she failed to secure the similar role replacing it. She launched unfair-dismissal proceedings. The BBC has now agreed substantial compensation, reported as £400,000, without admitting liability or accepting that Kon suffered antisemitism. Kon says Jewish employees still at the corporation continue to face hostility and feel unable to identify openly as Jewish or Zionist.

Nine Christians murdered in Jordan. No relentless sharing of their faces. None of you know their names. @bbcnews couldn't even be bothered to tell you that two more died of their wounds. An attack on Christians in Jordan does not fit their narrative. So it must be swept aside.

Every two hours, an attack on Jews in Judea and Samaria. Yet somehow, the Jews are portrayed as the greatest threat. Who controls the statistics? Who controls the headlines?
You've heard the headlines. You've seen the statistics. You've been told that Jewish settlers are the greatest threat to peace in Judea and Samaria. But who is producing those statistics? Who is spreading the narrative? And what are they leaving out? In this video, PMO Spokesman @doronspielman takes you behind the headlines to challenge the way the United Nations, activists, and international media portray Jews living in their ancestral homeland.

Wow. He called it. You gotta listen to this. What a disgusting call from Macron and in return Bibi tried to HELP him and France. Clearly he didn’t listen or even want to listen. “Macron called me on October 7. He said, "You know, we have to work for an immediate ceasefire and to solve this by diplomacy." And I said, "No, no, Emmanuel. It's not going to be solved by diplomacy. These are monsters. These are neo-Nazis." I said, "You know, Hamas is like ISIS. In fact, it's worse in some respects than ISIS, even worse than ISIS. And let me tell you, if we don't stop Hamas here, you'll see them on the streets of Paris." .

Judea and Samaria are the cradle of Jewish civilisation, not some foreign land we stumbled into yesterday. No amount of orchestrated provocations, selective footage or anti-Israel propaganda can erase 3,000 years of Jewish history. With Ali Miraj on LBC 👇 lbc.co.uk/videos/2JsSfLm5rTK…

The Prime Minister's Office: ALLEGED ATTACK ON EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS REQUIRE SERIOUS EVIDENCE. We urge caution before drawing conclusions from today's reports that European diplomats were attacked by masked Israelis in Judea and Samaria. Any violence against diplomats is unacceptable. The more serious the accusation, the greater the demand for compelling evidence. Here is what we know: - The diplomatic delegation entered a sensitive area with a history of confrontations without prior coordination with the IDF, as officially confirmed by the military. Such coordination is essential to protecting visiting diplomats and preventing violence. - The visit included Bernard Baudoux, a French Communist Party mayor who previously raised the Palestinian flag over his municipal building, prompting French authorities to order its removal. - Published footage shows masked individuals confronting a diplomatic vehicle. Separate images show a smashed window and a person lying on the ground. These images alone do not establish the complete sequence of events or individual responsibility. Those circumstances remain under investigation. - Israeli police and forensic investigators have launched an investigation to establish the facts and identify those responsible. These reports come amid concerns about a coordinated campaign to smear Israel and the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria during the annual olive harvest, relying on sensational headlines before the full facts emerge. We may see further allegations in the coming days. By the time the evidence is fully examined, the reputational damage from premature conclusions may already be done. We call on the public and responsible journalists to demand verifiable evidence, reject hearsay, and refuse to turn unproven allegations into a collective indictment of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went to Rambam Hospital together with Education Minister Yoav Kisch to visit those who were wounded in the severe incident in the north, and their families. The Prime Minister instructed the Commander of the IDF Home Front Command to reinforce the guidelines and warnings for the general public, emphasize the strict prohibition against touching unexploded ordnance, and to conduct extensive searches to locate unexploded items. Eitan Masauri, a 14-year-old student who was injured by shrapnel in his neck, recounted the incident: "I realized I was hurt; I saw that a friend was injured, and I tried to help him."

Listen to Agam. On October 7, Palestinian Hamas terrorists murdered her father and sister in her home. Then, at just 17, they dragged her into Gaza with her mother and two little brothers. Gazan civilians surrounded and threatened them. A Palestinian schoolteacher held them hostage in his house. They were locked up in a mosque and in a school. A Palestinian crowd tried to lynch them as they were finally coming home. Listen to what she survived. #UNFORGO7TEN
⚠️WARNING: GRAPHIC AND UPSETTING FOOTAGE ⚠️ Agam Goldstein-Almog was 17. She says it at the start of the film, because the age is the point. On the morning of October 7 her family was in the safe room at Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Her father, Nadav, and her sister, Yam, were murdered there. She was taken with her mother, Chen, and her brothers, Gal, 11, and Tal, 9, and driven into Gaza in her mother’s car. She describes the trip. Civilians in Gaza banging on the windows. She told her mother they were going to rape her. The men in the car talked about marrying her off. She asked only that the four of them be kept together. They were. A schoolteacher who was also Hamas held them, after a tunnel, in an apartment, dressed as civilians so the street would not see Israelis. Fifty-one days. Released on November 26, 2023, moved from car to car through a crowd she thought was going to lynch them, and home to a house with two of them missing. That is the footage the argument always omits. This isn’t a leaflet. And it isn’t a border dispute. She was a 17-year-old taken from the room where her father and sister had just been killed, with two little boys, into a home in Gaza, by people the marches across London, Paris and New York still call resistance. She’s the one narrating it. The film doesn’t need a caption.

The Nobel Prize committee has lost its moral compass. It has awarded its highest honor to a bigot who built her career around inventing and propagating blood libels against the one and only Jewish state. Navi Pillay’s proudest achievement was to legitimize a corrupt prosecutor who turned to her fabrications against Israel hoping that by joining her bigoted lynch mob, he would beat a rape charge. Karim Khan, who was accused by his own ICC employees of raping and sexually molesting them, used Pillay’s lies to build a fake case against Israel. Pillay supplied the lies. Khan weaponized them. And now the misguided members of the Nobel Committee are honoring the woman who propagated this demonization of the Jews and this travesty of justice.

"When Israeli military actions led Hamas to kill our hostages". Undiluted Hamas narrative from CNN.
Replying to @JDiamond1
We found 24/40 deaths can be traced back to Israeli military actions. That includes direct IDF strikes/gunfire, but also when Israeli military actions led captors to kill their hostages. That's not just us saying that: the IDF has acknowledged that in many of these cases /2

At 6:29 a.m. on October 7, 2023, Palestinian Hamas terrorists invaded Israel. They stormed communities, murdered families in their homes, raped, burned and kidnapped. Three years on, Israel remembers the victims and the barbarity of Palestinian jihadist terrorism. We will never forget. #UNFORGO7TEN

What I Saw on Oct. 7: Leadership and Israel’s Greatest Generation ‘We are going to change the map of the Mideast,’ Netanyahu said two days after the Hamas massacre. ByOphir FalkOct. 6, 2026 12:02 pm ET Every Jew and Israeli remembers where he was on Oct. 7, 2023. My day started shortly after 6:30 a.m., when Tzachi Braverman, the prime minister’s chief of staff, called me and said, “Get up! Come to the Kirya immediately,” referring to our military headquarters. I got dressed within minutes and rushed downstairs to wake my 19- and 21-year-old sons. I told them, “We’re at war. Get to your units.” My eldest asked, “Hezbollah or Hamas?” “Hamas,” I said. “OK,” he replied in what sounded like a sigh of relief. As I walked out the door, I passed my younger son, who was sitting in the living room waiting to be called up. “Don’t worry, it’s going to be a long war. You’ll get your chance,” I told him. He did get his chance and much more.I got in my car at about 7 a.m. I drove past my neighbor, an Air Force squadron commander, who was getting into his car. “Avner, are all your pilots coming?” I asked.“They will all come,” he said.“This isn’t another round. This time we need to go all the way,” I warned.“Absolutely,” Avner shouted in agreement.I arrived at the Kirya shortly after 8 a.m. when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was receiving updates on the unfolding attack. Horrific photos and videos of wounded and dead Israelis overwhelmed WhatsApp. Some showed Israeli civilians being slaughtered in their kibbutz homes and on the streets of Sderot.Shortly after 9:30 a.m., Mr. Netanyahu entered the situation room to receive a briefing from the military chiefs. “It’s going to be a long war,” the prime minister told me on the way to the meeting. Mr. Netanyahu, the Israel Defense Forces chief of staff, several other officials and I huddled around a small table. You could have heard a pin drop. In the room, the prime minister was briefed that “we were somewhat surprised” that “there are still a number of skirmishes and a large number of casualties.” He was told that “the situation should be under control before nightfall,” but that “we need to call up 100,000 reservists.” Mr. Netanyahu interjected: “Call up 300,000 troops immediately.” After intense questioning, he summarized, “Verify that, as I instructed this morning, a division was sent to the North and is holding a strong defense. Prevent the crossing of anyone back to Gaza. This is not another round of fighting. This is war.”At about 11:30 a.m., the prime minister addressed the public. “We are at war. Not an operation, not another round—at war.” He soon formalized the declaration of war and the war’s objectives in a meeting with the security cabinet.France’s President Emmanuel Macron was the first foreign leader to call. He urged diplomacy and offered to mediate. “Hamas is ISIS,” Mr. Netanyahu replied. “If it is not dismantled in Gaza, you will meet it in Paris.” The prime minister also emphasized that he didn’t want Mr. Macron to convey any message from him to anyone. “Hamas will soon get the message,” Mr. Netanyahu said. The next call came from then-President Joe Biden. “How can I help, Bibi?” he asked. Mr. Netanyahu said, “Hamas is worse than ISIS. They need to be dismantled.” He asked Mr. Biden to send two U.S. aircraft carriers toward Lebanon’s shores and to warn Iran and its Hezbollah proxy not to join the war. Mr. Biden promised he would. He gave the “Don’t” speech several days later, warning Iran and its proxies against escalation. As that fateful day ended, Israel’s enemies thought the Jewish state would collapse. Mr. Netanyahu’s rivals believed he was finished. Both were mistaken. On Oct. 9, the prime minister met with community leaders in southern Israel. “I ask that you stand steadfast because we are going to change the map of the Middle East,” he told the group.Three years later, Mr. Netanyahu has been proved right. Hamas has been decimated in Gaza, Palestinian terror infrastructure has been uprooted in Judea and Samaria, Hezbollah is on its knees, and Yemen’s Houthis have been hit like never before. Bashar al-Assad’s army in Syria is gone and, most important, the weakened Iranian regime will never assert the same power. After 1,096 days of fighting a war of redemption across seven fronts, Israel and its American ally are stronger than ever. Mr. Netanyahu has emerged as our greatest wartime leader, and the young soldiers of Oct. 7 are proving to be Israel’s Greatest Generation. Mr. Falk is foreign-policy adviser to Prime Minister Netanyahu.
