AdjaCENTS, II of VII:
Merging Cents. Neighbouring cents fuse like soap
bubbles, four coins becoming one where the sky flattens.
Decided at draw time, stored nowhere.

the Fondazione Aversano CENTS
we're honored to witness the work of Rutherford Chang joining this collection.

Full Mint Set, they said.
IYKYK, I said.
The simplicity of CENTS is such that a billion people could have created it. You. Me. A stranger. However no one saw, but Rutherford. Not a day goes by when I dont think of Rutherford’s incredible creation and his beautiful mind!

This art is deep, profound, ironic and intentional.
The depth and intentionality of Cents is mind blowing and I’m shocked how long I overlooked it.
Glad I saw a post by @shibboleth88 converted me to a holder

CENTS is easily one of the most significant art on blockchain & certainly one with a perfect meaning/medium cohesion.
Very briefly, it is a mise en abyme of monetary value.
Everyone who appreciates blockchain as a technology should have one. It embodies BTC's message.
right now I sense that CENTS is a coiled spring
it's an interesting moment
let me tell you some things you might not yet know:
◉ the estate has just started working with one of the best art advisories in the world, Alan Schwartzman's team (ask GPT about him and see what I mean)
◉ CENTS has been recognized by Frieze, Art in America, the NYT, eflux, The Art Newspaper, Christie's, Taschen, monopol
◉ through the bears, CENTS has remained notably solid, to the point that we joke about it being a stablecoin on bitcoin. But nor for long. And it's not going away.
◉ CENTS has one of the most extensive and in-depth collection explorers of any project I've ever seen, built out of pure love by @daidatep & @pactalom together with the Trait Council. (cents。vision - take a moment to see how ridiculously cool the feature set is).
◉ that pure love? I see it hatch again & again, and it's magical. Once it clicks with people, it clicks unreasonably hard (as does all of Rutherford's art).
◉ again, you might not know it yet, but many of the most refined collectors in the space are among us
◉ CENTS is a quintessence of Bitcoin, a prism of the digital objecthood and transformation that Bitcoin introduces, a performance of value. (If you think that's a crazy thing to say, then just find out for yourself what the project is, read up, ask in the discord or x chats, talk to the CENTSbot)
◉ It legitimately might be one of the greatest pieces of blockchain art in existence.
So, let's see. I'd like to watch it clear its next threshold.
Once it does, it has all of the ingredients it needs to sustain there, and from there to ascend.

many don't even know --still-- where to trade Ordinals after Magic Eden
many don't know that some of the best art on blockchain is on Bitcoin
needs to change
for starters, @ord_net and @Satflow are the main marketplaces now, both well built (Ord fully on-chain)
and for the art, well, have a look around, DM, you're early apparently

I wrote an essay on what the CENTS Mint Years actually tell you – but most people won’t read an essay. ;-)
So I turned the core of it into something you grasp in one second.
Every CENT detail page now has a mint-year timeline. The trick: each era is sized by how many CENTS actually exist from it – not by calendar spacing. So 1910–1969 (60 years) is a thin sliver, because only 21.25% of the collection is that old.
A marker drops the coin you’re looking at onto the bar. A 1938 lands hard left in the rare zone; a 1981 sits in the wide 1980s block. Rarity you can see, not just read.

1/4 THANK YOU MARK McCALL.
When people talk about great coaches, they often focus on tactics, results, and trophies. Mark McCall certainly has all of those, but what made him truly exceptional was the way he led people @Saracens.

CENTS brought Ordinals into UCCA, one of the world’s leading contemporary art institutions.
CENTS was selected by Christie’s for Beyond the Screen, a highly curated digital art auction that positioned digital art within the wider contemporary art landscape.
CENTS is the only ordinal that has a chapter in TASCHEN’s On NFTs and it has been written about by Frieze, Monopol, e-flux, Bitcoin Magazine, Art in America …
… and I’m not even talking about the community yet :-)
