What were the best and worst cars you drove in 2022? (Pic for attention and not necessarily representative of my answer for either category!)

You Can See Everything is primarily a movie about how much stupider and more evil you become when you swap the California good vibes lifestyle for the grandiose horrors of Texas

More surprised than I should be that the guy who recommends $2500 coats and $400 pants thinks $850k is a deal for a house.
This home in Tucson, Arizona sold this week for $850k. Two bed, three bath, 3.3k sq feet. Constantly shocked at what you can get if you look outside the Bay Area and NYC. realtor.com/realestateandhom…

A perfect summary of both the AI user and the C-suite exec: a fundamentally unskilled member of the workforce to whom "Why do you like your kid?" is an enigma of insurmountable scale.

the thing about You Can See Everything that i would most call genuinely daring is that it makes you sit in the theater for over an hour thinking that your ticket has gone into Billy's pockets and there's nothing you can do about it

connecticut is such a funny state. nothing ever happens there, it literally exists only to be an exurb between new york and boston, every member of the deep state was born there before moving to northern virginia, and they for some reason turbo gig mog even new york at pizza
Look at these CT pies and tell me there are states with better pizza than Connecticut. You simply cannot.

At one point in high school I went from my old E39 and a CTS-V wagon back to back and have never forgotten the perfect balance of crispness and compliance in that manual. Most (but not all) BMW manuals are set up far too light and disconnected; the TR6060 is perfect.
Every stick bmw would be better with a TR6060. all the propagandized Instagram bmw foot soldiers with low taper fades act like you just spat in their face when u say it. Or they don't know what a TR6060 is

Do people not know that most of New York City just looks like this?
It was actually depressing seeing photos like this for the time. Like not even New York is high rise/dense enoigh?

Good morning! Muting this because I do not care what happens in or to New York. It’s an ugly place, improve it or don’t.

Important to know that every 360 and 430 in Florida has been beat on by a boomer with the seat leaned all the way back, flat-out from HOA to Italian restaurant. The only difference between Corvette owners and Ferrari owners in Florida is pain tolerance for service costs.

They're going to give it 127 miles of range and an MSRP of $60k and when no one buys it, they'll try to tell us it's because customers don't like wagons

I’d love if every day was only $35
Being an adult means that every few days, you have to spend at least $35. Even if you don’t think you need anything, the universe will manifest something for you to spend $35 on. All must pay.

Wild to me that people pay actual money to live in these things, much less consider them an investment. Vinyl villages have every expense of homeownership with none of the advantages.

We rented an Altima to go pick up the 718 and still talk about it. I’ve never experienced a car that wants to be doing 90mph at all times more than the Altima. No idea why they’re geared like that but I can see why people with room temperature credit scores buy them.
Whenever I get a rental Altima, I'm reminded just how perfectly fine it is 188 hp - plenty 33 mpg highway - underrated Ride - smooth, painless, good for hundreds of miles Cabin - 4-passenger roomy with comfortable seats I have a similar opinion of the Rogue

Swedish drift racers can build this in a SHED with a box of SCRAPS
BMW's M CEO says that pairing hybrids with a manual transmission is "really difficult." The culprit is 48-volt mild-hybrid technology creeping into the lineup, stacked on top of rising engine torque and a supplier base that keeps shrinking. Read more here: motor1.com/news/811763/bmw-m…

All thoroughly insane but worth mentioning that the residential market is tame compared to the commercial market, where old guys will lose $3000/mo on every one of their twenty vacant properties and wonder where all the businesses went and why their kids want to move away.
The housing market is such an odd place b/c you'll think "oh, supply outstrips demand, that means prices will go down" but then an old guy would rather lose $500 a month for 5 years instead of dropping his sales price by $10K
