Gov. Brian Kemp is well known to have a copious reading habit. One day he read that Audi was looking to build a U.S. manufacturing plant and the wheels started turning. @FitzTrubey has the amazing ticktock on the many years and dozens, maybe hundreds, of people it took to bring Audi to Georgia. ajc.com/business/2026/10/how…

Dez Bryant says he was was cut off by reckless drivers yesterday, and then when he tried to tell them to drive safer, one of the drivers threatened to shoot him and then called the cops on him. Dez says when police arrived, they aimed guns at him and made him get on the ground, all while his daughters watched.
Bryant is now calling for fairness and a thorough investigation.
"Treat everybody fair. Treat everybody fair. Treat everybody with respect," he said. "Do your due diligence on what’s actually going on."

One of the most meaningful experiences of my career. During my visit to the Carol S. Vance Unit in Richmond, Texas, I had the opportunity to sit down with three incarcerated men and hear their personal stories of redemption, hope, and transformation through the Prison Fellowship program. Hearing firsthand how faith and the program have changed their lives and helped them find purpose, hope, and a renewed sense of direction behind bars was a powerful and deeply moving reminder of the impact faith and the right community can have.
I know when I want to get my finger on the pulse of what "working class" people like and want, the best place to go is DC/NY pundits who spend 90 percent of their time screaming on twitter dot com

one of the greatest, if not the greatest, commercials of all time. i think about it often.

Is there anything worse than the sheer scale of AI slop posts providing the most mundane, bathtub-deep analysis of famous movies and shows? God, it sucks
Lol the number of tweets that are being sent about how many tweets someone did or did not send about Hasan Piker, and the incredible journalism on display therein. Wherever did you all learn to COUNT like that? We mortals can only wonder.

A journalist ambushing another journalist for occasionally mentioning a major national figure because it might hurt Democrats is pretty on the nose, zeitgeist-wise.
Me: "Do you know how many times you've tweeted about Piker since you wrote that tweet [about not tweeting about him] on August 30th?"
@mattyglesias: "Probably more than I intended to."
Me: "8 times.... you tweeted about Mike Rogers 6 times. So you're tweeting about the streamer you didn't want to talk about more than the Republican candidate you say you want to defeat."
Yglesias: "Yeah, that's fair."
Me: "Why?"
Yglesias: "What do you want me to say? You got me."

Yglesias's posts since Aug 30 include ~5 mentioning Piker and at least 9 mentioning Rogers/Rodgers, not 8 and 6. Hasan posted about Piker ~35 times in the period.

Yeah, not paying $500 for mediocre seats to watch this trainwreck of a team. Nice stadium but it’s like going to the mall, not an intimidating home field in the slightest. It’s better for a concert than football
