With just one solar farm, Glow has tripled its carbon credit production. $1.6 million in on-chain revenue, and a carbon impact equivalent of 60,000 adult trees. DePIN is here to stay, and it's here to change the world.
Welcome, India
Defenders are out here getting refusals from frontier models, meanwhile attackers are blazing forward with MILLIONS of attacks within 24 hours of a vulnerability announcement.
These "safeties" aren't saving anyone.
Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.
The NSA is telling American companies to take production systems offline. The AI-era of cybersecurity has fully arrived.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
If you had told me 10 years ago that Nathan Fielder was eventually going to create one of the most critically acclaimed blockbuster movies of the year, I don't think I would have believed it. Especially if you told me it would use the same signature style as his prior work.
But, he has mastered his own style and delivered something truly exceptional. He's very much an inspiration in the direction of "do things your own way and you'll eventually accomplish things other people could never imagine".
I'm very happy for him, and also very happy that we all get the pleasure of seeing the masterpiece that he has delivered. I can't even begin to imagine how many times other people must have told him to "stop being weird" along his journey.
"dangerously-skip-permissions" gets more dangerous every day. Not because the models are dumber, but because the attackers are smarter. These things browse the Internet, where they can freely bump into prompt injection.
Restricting the frontier models is only bringing disadvantages to the good guys. Attackers have uncensored models, custom fine-tunes, and other specialized offensive tooling. These "safegaurds" are only ensuring people stay vulnerable.

UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users.
I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet).
The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries).
My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold.
Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk.
I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it.
If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!
I have found GPT 6.1 to be considerably worse at following instructions than 5.6, to the point that it feels almost unusable by comparison. It loves doing it's own thing, and politely ignoring whatever guidance you give it.
"Ah, but there's actually this secret, unsupported feature that allows us to do something clever"
No GPT, don't use secret unsupported features in production code. How is that even a consideration?
I don't understand all the Gemini hate, I still find 3.1 Pro to be strongly preferable to Sol/Astra/etc for a large number of tasks. It's a good model if you know how to prompt it.
All of this focus on 'escaping the sandbox' seems so misplaced to me. Our smartest agents will always be hooked up to the Internet. Intelligence permanently escaped the sandbox the day ChatGPT was first released.
Glow remains committed to avoiding the rat race. Memes, "distribution", and the standard token playbook are exactly why the crypto industry is the dumpster fire that it is.
Glow will build real value. That's how it's going to win.
It is amusing to me that the only high profile examples of "misaligned" agents come from the big labs themselves. None of the uncensored models seem to actually be doing any harm... to the contrary, they have been essential in creating secure software in the past 6 months.
AI will not eliminate jobs because the number of solvable problems is growing faster than the number of solved problems.
Solar is a superior national security infrastructure. It's easy to disable an entire city if the electricity comes from a single power plant. It's much harder if every building has its own independent supply of electricity.
Solar is improving faster than it is being deployed. This means that, in addition to the industry itself growing, the amount of green-field opportunity is also growing.

Just to be clear about where we are with open source code these days. In 2026, developers are asking COURTS for permission to publish software. Asking for protection from future prosecution, and still not getting it.
@LewellenMichael is doing exactly that. After watching Roman Storm v. USA, he does not feel safe shipping his code.

Replying to @PessimistsArc
Right. Dario was already claiming that GPT2 was too dangerous to open source back in 2019.
I made fun of them then.
Everyone should make fun of them now.
