Our Clemson INFORMS chapter had a blast at 3 STEM events this spring! 🚀 We brought hands-on science fun to kids at James M. Brown, West Pelzer & Varennes Elementary. Big thanks to our IE Dept & amazing volunteers! 👏

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that the INFORMS Clemson University Student Chapter has been honored with the 2024 INFORMS Student Chapter Annual Award: Magna Cum Laude! 🏆
A big thank you to all our members, advisors, and supporters who made this achievement possible!🌟
Great day at @INFORMS2024! 1) I presented our work on a robust bi-level network interdiction problem inspired by human trafficking disruption in a great session; 2) Magna Cum Laude Award for our @ClemsonInforms; 3) Dr. Sharkey's inspiring keynote!
Dr. Sharkey's keynote at @INFORMS2024 was incredible! It was amazing to see so many people from the ORMS community interested in hearing why and how lived experience expertise plays a fundamental role in improving every step of our research process!
Please consider attending some of these outstanding presentations if you get the chance!
Find us at #INFORMS2024! Here's a 🧵 of the places you can hear more about our research using Operations Research to address human trafficking
It's has been such an honor to serve as the president of our Chapter!
It's that time of the year!
Join us on our already traditional Welcoming Event! Come to make friends, create connections and have fun! Please RSVP by scanning the QR code or through the link: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
If you are into reliability, network optimization or multi-objective optimization, check out this nice paper! We develop a very interesting (and efficient) method to estimate the survival signature of a system with 2 component classes through optimization.

I had a great time talking to Dr. Fralix about his path in the OR field and some of his research projects.
Listen to the newest episode of the Optimality Gap podcast for a great chat with Dr. Brian Fralix from @ClemsonUniv School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences about OR, queueing systems, Markov processes ... and bitcoins!!

This was an incredible experience that motivated me even more to pursue a career in academia! I'm incredibly grateful to all the organizers and participants.
Our officers are always doing great things. Last week Daniel and Martha participated in the Trailblazers in Engineering (TBE) program at the @PurdueEngineers! TBE is an incredible annual workshop focused on preparing "future trailblazing faculty in engineering." Congrats, guys!
A new episode, another very nice ORMS/Analytics conversation!
In the newest episode of the Optimality Gap podcast series, @Krystalxizi had an interesting chat about machine learning and much more with Dr. Mostafa Reise from the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florida. Check it out:

It was so motivating to see all the ways an INFORMS Student Chapter can contribute to the ORMS/Analytics community!!
Last weekend we hosted an INFORMS Student Chapter Retreat with the Chapters at @GeorgiaTechISyE and the University of Tennessee Knoxville and it was just awesome! We had great discussions and a lot of fun! Thank you Dr. @kevin_taaffe and @ClemsonIE for all the support!
We are indeed very grateful for the constant support of Dr @kevin_taaffe and the whole @ClemsonIE !!
We are very thankful for the support of Dr. @kevin_taaffe and the whole @ClemsonIE department. Don't miss the chance to become part of this team!!
Dr. Tucker knows it all!
Dr. @EmilyLTucker is a great supporter of our Chapter and she knows that it only takes a little dedication to become an officer and have a lasting impact on our student body!!
I really enjoyed this chat with Dr. Guikema.

If you are a Clemson student in the ORMS/Analytics areas, please consider this great opportunity!
A great benefit of becoming an INFORMS student chapter officer is the interaction with @INFORMS (and the larger ORMS/analytics community)!!
