If a customer messages "Hello" and nothing else, what's your reply? Write it now and save it. A ready reply saves you from sounding rushed

Please stop telling designers they’re "falling behind" just because they still use Figma.
Learn to use Ai, but also master the art of design.
You’re not falling behind because you use Figma and you’re also not automatically winning if you use agents for everything.

Some of us just want to build. No interest whatsoever in marketing and talking to people everyday. That shxt is exhausting as fxck

Post the post.
Pitch the offer.
Start the business.
Take that first step.
You can change your mind later.
But you can’t grow standing still.

Overthinking is the biggest waste of human energy. Trust yourself, make a decision and gain more experience. There is no such things as perfect. You cannot think your way into perfection, just take the action. -- S. Mcnutt

Here's why I building online:
A $500/m client won't ask for your degree.
A $5000/m client won't ask for your degree either.
If you can deliver, you’re qualified.

One thing I wish some designers understood.
The background isn't always supposed to be the most interesting part of your design.
Its job is often to support the subject, not compete with it.

Some of you have already lost gigs you don't even know you had. 👀
Your cold DM got a response, but you fumbled the follow-up.
You don't know how to move the conversation forward, so you leave the client to do all the work.
The client is there to respond, not to drive the conversation for you.
Understanding this made me Excellent at pitching. 💯

Before you order a flyer, send your designer these 5 things:
1. Your text
2. Your logo
3. Your photos or images
4. The size you need
5. Your deadline
That way the designer doesn't have to guess, so the first draft will usually be much closer to what you want.

Visual hierarchy should be intentional❗
You should be able to determine what someone sees first, second and third when they look at your design.

I’ve never landed a single gig on Upwork.
When I started my journey, I deliberately stayed away from platforms like that because I didn’t want my entire income to depend on a third-party platform.
Instead I decided to build my presence on X because It's easier for people to connect with personal brands.
This year, I’ve landed multiple clients and roles through X and LinkedIn.
Now, I'm expanding and also working on owning my distribution by building my own email list because social media platforms can suspend your account, limit your reach, or disappear overnight.
You never want to build your entire business on "rented land".
Even my boss and friends in the US who freelance are getting tired of Upwork.
A lot of them are now resorting to building in public, sharing their work, and showing off their expertise to attract clients directly.
The money you have to spend on Upwork Connects is becoming ridiculous.
You're spending money just to apply for jobs, and you're competing with hundreds of other freelancers for the same opportunity.
At some point, you have to ask yourself, how much longer can you keep playing this game?
Honestly, you can't keep competing like this forever.
