Financial year
Btw,doctors and all health related persons who relate to this...I have a question: what's the rationale behind internship placement being in July/August as opposed to January yet nearly all medschools in Kenya finish their academic years between July and December??

Doc, you see how this is only possible for the girl child in med school . At 21 the boychild in med school is still living in the halls of residence and dependant on the University Mess for survival . The most feasible time is after internship
Family Planning Doctors Edition; Personally, I got married at 21; my first child at 23. I mean, I honestly didn’t know what I was thinking, but it was one of my best decisions to start while in school.

Gazeti ni mia, and following the Citizen is free rafiki. 770B is around 19.25 pc of our national budget for an industry whose returns are either (a) Unquantifiable or (b) in the very long term. Between both local and foreign debt na appetite ya hawa watu pesa itatoka wapi

We already spend 800 Billion a year on education and yet lecturers are on GoK's throat still asking for more, schools are dilapidated and we still face a teacher shortage. But there are some day dreamers who actually believe they can cut 1 Trillion from the budget very easily😅
Lecturers' strike: Meeting between striking dons and govt officials ends in disarray after union rejects Sh11.9bn offer, says it will not accept figure it did not negotiate.

🌱 #ONGOING | KMPDU COMMENCES 2025–2029 CBA NEGOTIATIONS WITH GOVERNMENT We have commenced negotiations with the national government on the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), with talks with county governments set to follow. The negotiations seek to advance doctors’ welfare, improve terms of service and strengthen the working environment across Kenya’s healthcare system. The national government negotiations run from 26th to 27th October 2026, while county-level negotiations are scheduled for 29th to 30th October 2026, following agreement on a centralised negotiation framework involving the Council of Governors and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC). KMPDU remains committed to constructive engagement in pursuit of fair and sustainable terms of service for doctors. The Union will continue to keep members informed as the negotiations progress.

Kenya cannot be Serbia or Brazil because Kenyans majority of them see being working class as a transitional class, they have middle class aspirations and spend so much of their “strong years “ playing “make believe class theatrics” you can’t fix a disease that you have masked

It’s clearly not the dominant global culture anymore if the Chinese can get Mbappe to apologize for this. This wouldn’t have happened 20/30 years ago. It means things have shifted. We are in a new era. And this attitude was engineered by the west themselves. They are sanctioning ICC judges, calling people who question their dark history “unpatriotic”, have become the surveillance states they hate so much so it’s acceptable for other countries to do this. Cos if you can lose your job by criticizing Israel, you can also apologize for calling Mao a dictator. Bad precedence has been set.
It's important that Western culture continues to be the dominant global culture, not Chinese or any other culture.
