On September 25, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., DeKalb Police Department officers responded to the 900 block of Ridge Drive for a victim who sustained a stab wound to the neck.
Defendant: Paris M. Craig M/B/41 YOA, DeKalb, Illinois
Charge:
• Attempt First Degree Murder - Felony
• Aggravated Battery - Felony
**All persons are presumed innocent in a court of law until proven guilty**

An undercover compliance check to ensure local liquor licensees are not selling to minors was carried out recently, as the DeKalb Police Department and agents from the IL Liquor Control Commission teamed up, announced DeKalb Police Department Commander Tony Kwasniewski.
