Really dialling in on character lore for memes lately and I’m starting to realise there really is a science to it.
It all comes down to what’s relatable.
For a long time I had such a negative outlook on meme coins. I genuinely thought the only way a token could pump was by paying KOLs to shill it.
But I’m starting to realise it really doesn’t need to be that deep.
People want a character they can relate to, a story they can follow and a community they feel part of.
Think about how many people have been rugged they haven’t just lost money. They’ve lost friendships, communities and somewhere they felt they belonged.
There’s a massive opportunity to bring those people together again, alongside curious newcomers looking for somewhere to call home.
That’s what makes character lore so powerful. You’re not just creating a mascot for a token, you’re giving people something to connect with.
