What a movie! It looks decades ahead of its time in many aspects yet no modern filmmaker has the same tenacity as Ken Russell. I’ve watched and enjoyed some of his movies in the past but this was the first one that connected with me.

People don’t seem to know what a war is.

It’s an aggressively fine children’s film with beautiful animation. I was surprised by the amount of blood and violence. It has a rather mature, frankly pro war story by the end. It shouldn’t surprise me given the pro war nature of Travis Knight’s He-Man movie earlier this year.

Eric Bauza has sadly passed away at the age of 46. The modern voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck alongside many other beloved characters.

North Carolina has fallen. Nine nations rose from the rubble. The mountains kept the moonshine. The east kept the barbecue. Charlotte and Raleigh still can't agree on a capital. And Cary is still looking for a decent bagel. Which nation will control the state?

Are there any comic characters you think no one can get right besides their original creator?
